The house was a great size and if it was clean and if the beds were comfortable, it would be a great place! Had to wash kitchen things before using, bedding had solids dried on and smelled funny but luckily it was warm enough to not need the covers. We had a great time and could overlook any negatives once we were at the beach, but it would be nice not to have to clean before enjoying the home but we mopped floors and cleaned kitchen items as we needed to use them. Vacuum barely picked up mess on floor but we tried. Drive to to the grocery, liquor store, ice cream, pizza shop and anything else you need. Approx. 20 minutes from the cute little town of rockport, 30 minutes from salem which you can easily catch a train from Gloucester or rockport to take into salem. The neighbors were amazing, accommodating and friendly. We were literally RIGHT on the water, we slept with the windows open so we could hear the waves. There is a walkway level with the yard for easy walking/strolling/exercising on the beach without actually getting in the sand. We were also able to bring the grill to the front yard so we could grill and chill while looking at the beach. Overall, it was perfect for us. (Also extremely easy to check in, park and check out). The place could be cleaner and electrical plugs could be replaced along with a few more blankets and pillows but all in all it is a cute place to get the "feel" of Massachusetts ##### Kimberly H. ### 8/10 Good #### Bernadine H. The house does have two bathrooms but neither is located upstairs where the majority of the bedrooms are. This is a problem since the staircase could be hazardous at night. Lacks a fully stocked kitchen if you intend to cook your meals at home. In general, this home could use a major update. The owners might consider keeping up with their investment as the location is amazing and the home should be better cared for. For example, the lovely windows facing the ocean should be cleaned regularly. Perhaps if a local person were to manage this property instead of a corporation the owner and the renters would be better served. All in all, we truly enjoyed our visit to Long Beach. ##### Bernadine H.
