It's an easy walk to Main Street, ferry terminal, shops, restaurants, waterfront, art galleries, Maine's Lobster Festival, North Atlantic Blues Festival and 2 art museums, Maine Lighthouse Museum, Project Puffin Visitor Center, Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center, and others. Within a 5 - 10 min drive you can reach hiking, lakes, Rockland Breakwater lighthouse, Owl's Head Lighthouse, Birch Beach, Crockett Beach, parks and trails, as well as two golf courses. The apartment was clean, light and full of useful information. The host was welcoming and I soon realized the location was perfect for walking to stores, activities and all the things available in Rockland. I took the Concord Bus from Boston to the ferry terminal in Rockland which was only a short distance from Sunrise Suite. I stayed for 23 days and found plenty to do in Rockland and ferry trips to North Haven and Vinalhaven. I ended up not renting a car and was still able to enjoy all that mid-coast Maine has to offer.
