Stunningly situated 50 steps across the dune grass from the golden sand of Rockaway Beach, this oceanfront home provides a truly spectacular setting for your next escape to the Oregon Coast. In this gorgeous location just north of downtown, you'll be able to watch the ocean waves crash upon the shore from the elevated deck, enjoy the fully appointed and recently updated kitchen, and relax in the open living and dining space with a wall of picture windows out to the ocean. Whether you're planning a summer vacation with your small family or a winter storm or whale-watching trip with another couple, this home provides the wonderful feeling of seclusion despite its convenient location. Walk a few steps home from the beach each afternoon to toss the day's swimsuits in the new washer/dryer, and marvel at the incredible vista as you whip up a snack in the remodeled kitchen that features new stainless steel appliances and sink, and new quartz-top counters. The quartz-top dining table with walnut chairs for four is a great place to gather for mealtime or peak out at the ocean while catching up on your laptop accompanied by the high-speed WiFi. Relax on the sectional sofa while enjoying the new electric fireplace, cozy under the blankets or siping your favorite beverage. You'll even find a new Weber propane BBQ and Adirondack chairs outside on the deck, so you can prepare local seafood as the sun sets over the ocean on beautiful sunny nights. And after an evening spent watching your streaming favorites on the living room's 55" Roku TV + soundbar, you can retire to one of two bedrooms - the Primary bedroom with a new Tempurpedic king-size bed (and a newly remodeled en-suite bathroom with a stall shower, and TOTO bidet toilet), and the 2nd bedroom with a queen-size bed. The second newly remodeled full bathroom is in the hallway, offering a tub/shower combination. This oceanfront home sits just about 50 steps from the beach, allowing you to be among the first on the sand each morning to take long walks, collect seashells, or go boogie boarding. The heart of downtown Rockaway Beach is just over a mile south, where you'll find all sorts of casual eateries, restaurants, sweet shops, and charming boutiques. You'll also be well situated to take scenic drives both up and down the coast, with such attractions as the fishing village of Garibaldi seven miles south and Nehalem Bay and Oswald West State Parks less than 15 miles north. Our house has recently undergone major high-end updates in the kitchen, both bathrooms and laundry, and the Living Room. Recent upgrades include an all SS kitchen with mostly LG appliances - both the new microwave oven and larger LG cook oven offer built-in air fryers! New vanities and toilets (1 with a bidet!) in the bathrooms, and new quartz countertops throughout the entire house. New Washer/Dryer and sink in laundry room, and new slat paneling with a built-in electric fireplace. We've also added a Universal EV charger with a J1772 plug. THINGS TO KNOW Recently added a new Tempurpedic King mattress in the Primary bedroom. It's wonderful and so cozy! The kitchen and bathrooms were recently remodeled with all Stainless Steel appliances, new plumbing and toilets (primary with a bidet!) and quartz countertops. There is 1 portable A/C unit, and 1 portable dehumidifier located in the bedroom closets, and movable as needed. We recently added a beach deck box with beach chairs, a beach umbrella, kites, kid's sand digging toys, and various other beach-y gear, all for your enjoyment. Binoculars and a rain umbrella are available for your pleasure! A universal EV charger is available at $0.22-0.25 kWh, which is consistent with the Tillamook Tesla supercharger. (Tesla guests will need to bring their own J1772 adapters.) This home strictly enforces a no-pet policy (not including verified and registered service animals). As owners, we have dog/cat allergies in our family. Any abuse of this policy will result in a $500 additional cleaning fee along with removal from the property. The owner was very proactive providing access details, wifi password, and gave great recommendations for restaurants and places to see from a local's perspective. We felt right at home and did not experience any issues, and the owner contacted us to make sure we had everything that we needed. It was a very nice 2-bedroom 2 bath home with a roomy family room, eating area and a fully equipped kitchen. Only a few steps down the path and we were on the nice sandy beach. There was plenty of parking space and an EV charger located on the property. Great views of the ocean from the wall-to-wall windows and the large patio. I am a detail oriented person so I loved all the provided information about check-in & check- out. Everything went smoothly except for the weather, which was expected. Despite the King tides, we were able to enjoy walks along the beach at low tide and get great pictures of the full moon over the ocean. It was beautiful! Spencer was great about getting us information on the weather and what to look out for during the very high tides. Visiting in November was peaceful and the place was cozy! We took advantage of the remote fireplace in the evenings. This place has everything that we needed. ##### Kelly B. House is right on the beach with a nice little path to get down to it. It's in a great spot with a lot of activities on the sand or in town. The kids LOVED the classic train ride from Rockaway to Garibaldi. Check-in and out was easy, all instructions and directions were very clear. We had a blast! ##### Chris B. Plenty of kitchen equipment and things like hand soap, paper towels, trash liners, dishwasher detergent,etc. A nice outdoor hose to rinse sandy feet off before entering the unit. Even working USB plugs next to the beds. Looked like there was only one beach chair in the closet but we had brought our own so that did not bother us. Beautiful views, and we really enjoyed the front deck with the house next door blocking the wind. ##### Christy K.
