Rio Hondo Vacation Packages

The room we got overlooked a wall and air condition vents. There were dirty bathing suits or underwear on the cement ground. The people above us were feeding the sea gulls so there was a lot of noise and food debris. The air condition in the room was not cooling. I spoke to Josh and he was very apologetic and assigned us another room. The breakfast buffet was good and the price very reasonable. We didn't have a beach view from our room, but we were still able to see a beautiful sunset. I really like the fact that quiet time was observed. Beach access was easy and so were the chair and umbrella rental. Staff was extremely helpful, polite, and professional. Other than the first room fiasco, our stay was good and we will be back.

Everything was about as clean at I would expect from a place costing $100/night. Parking was good, the pools were nice, and beach access was decent. I had three issues though: No where in my booking did it indicate that there would be an extra charge of $25/person for a wristband to have in and out privileges. I don't think that guests should have to compensate for the staffs inability to properly monitor who is coming on and off of their property. But that extra money took away a night out to eat since we had to buy these "required" wristbands. The staff as a whole was not very helpful or accommodating. No one looked like they wanted to be there, which I get, bc who wants to be at work? But you shouldn't be in customer service of you can't handle it. Last thing, which isn't huge, but was still very disappointing, the balcony attached to the room was inaccessible in our studio room. This definitely needs to be clarified when booking this room. Overall we had a great vacation, and this served fine as a place to shower and sleep, but it would have been a lot better with better communication when booking.

Walking up to and into our room was a little intimidating in the dark as there were literally only TWO cars in the entire parking lot. The place was EMPTY until Saturday. Once we got in the room, the room was good. Staff had to come and change out our fridge as it didn't cool but they corrected it immediately. The pool was excellent and beach access was good. Was not impressed you had to pay extra for a chair at the beach. Restaurant closed at 8pm along with the bar. Staff was friendly!

Staff is friendly , pool was warm and the height is family friendly , we had a great time there, rooms were clean and coffe was good, has small microwave and refrigerator I loved that .

There are no towels in the bathroom
