I was thoroughly unprepared with my 40+ year old 15 pound tent from my boyfriend's grandfather but it all worked out. This was someone else's nicer and lighter tent and man did they nab a great view. Despite the rain and wind, it was definitely worth it. Norwegian for troll’s tongue. This is a brutal 12 hour hike in snow shoes just outside of a beautiful village named Odda. The trail was rated as difficult by many bloggers but I found it to be rather on the lower side of medium. The toughest part of the hike was the initial half mile or so ascent. Amazing views the whole way despite having rain through most of the hike.
