So, you’ll get a total of 3300 square feet ONLY FOR YOU!!! The House is completely independent (private entrance). The living room and the kitchen have direct access to the private patio-loggia and private garden. The interiors are full of Italian charm… there is really a warm and homelike atmosphere!!! The GROUND FLOOR consists of: 1 large living room + 1 kitchen + 1 bathroom. \---Living room has a comfortable couch-sofa and armchairs situated around the working fireplace. The SWIMMING POOL with SALTWATER The swimming pool is about 20 feet large and 38 feet long (about 5,5x11,5 meters). It's a saltwater pool which makes the water healthy and silky. The area around the pool is equipped with chairs, sun umbrellas and sun loungers. From the swimming pool you will enjoy a characteristic view of the greenery and of the garden. The pool is open from 1 May until 30 September. The VILLA CAFAGGIOLO ESTATE is composed by seven hectares of land cultivated with vineyards and olive groves; tranquillity and relax are assured, at the same time the Villa is only 2 km from the village of PONTASSIEVE, where you can find all the modern amenities: shops, banks, excellent restaurants, tennis courts. There is also a TRAIN STATION, that offers fast and cheap connections to Florence. Trains run every 20 minutes and it takes only 20 minutes ride to get in Florence downtown. I had travelled to Italy 20 years ago with a younger crowd and took in all the major touristy things that the Florence area had to offer. For this trip, I wanted to take my family back and enjoy a more genuine emersion into what I consider to be the best of what Italy has to offer - the more laid back rural areas of Tuscany. Of course, we wanted to hit the major sights - the Dome, the museums, Pisa, etc. and all of this is within an hour or two drive from the villa. Florence is much more commercialized than it was 20 years ago, so if you want to see the museums, make sure to make reservations ahead of time since the lines are now extremely long. But if you really want the best experience, go to the villa and make your excursions from there. Niccolo and his family are extremely friendly and helpful and can help guide you to a genuine Italian experience. Instead of heading into the city, head out into the countryside and experience a taste of life that is older and fulfilling! The house is comfortable, beautiful, etc. The pictures say it all. Make sure you save time to just sit and enjoy all it has to offer. If you're looking to unwind, go into town and buy local Italian groceries from the Coop store, some local Italian wine, and just sit outside with a glass or two and watch the sunset in the evening. Don't miss the pasta making experience with your family. We bought a pasta maker in Rome and my kids have sworn never to eat store-bought pasta again! Thanks to Niccolo and the whole family. Niccolo communicated with us from the very beginning of the booking; answering our questions and offering suggestions. We were picked up at the local train station and taken to our place on his family property. Niccolo offered to buy groceries for us so we could immediately settle in. His family was wonderful and we got to spend a lot of time with his wife Barbara and his parents. This property has Ned non the family for a long time and you can feel a real love for the property.We watched Niccolo’s daughter work with her horse, met the ponies and sat for a traditional Italian dinner.. They shuttled us to the local train station, gave us suggestions for Florence and joined us in enjoying the results of our cooking class.
