I checked out only moments after checking in. The first room they gave me had a bad smell, the air didn’t work, sheets were dirty, and the mirror in the bathroom was literally falling off the wall. They moved me to another room and it was just as bad. I got out of there and booked another hotel nearby.

Great facilities, easy access, friendly staff.
Three issues: periodic noises coming from the HVAC vent/facilities.
Confusion about lack of housekeeping (including replenishing coffee) associated with tag on the door. Suggest you separate that from the tag for do not disturb.
Extra payments disguise the price. WiFi should be built into the room price. Overnight parking and valet service is too expensive.

It said walkable, there were a few restaurants but not many. Some homeless around I asked the desk if it was safe to walk alone, they seemed skeptical

I had not been to Richmond in 25 years and wasn't sure where to stay. The last time I was in town, it wasn't all that safe, but I was extremely comfortable at the Omni. I walked the area, enjoyed wonderful food and was pleased at the friendliness of the staff! Thank you and I would stay here again if in Richmond!

Nice - kind of basic for the price but no issues. Valet parking system was down - it would have been nice for them to tell me that when I deposited the car rather than after I spent five minutes going through the automated system for them to tell me they had no record of my vehicle and then waiting in line for 5 minutes to learn that system was not working

I loved the property and the location. Located easy access and walking distance to a lot of cool places in Richmond. The hotel was very clean and I felt super safe. The staff is excellent! The beds are comfy and the hotel was quiet.
A couple of things that I believe should be changed. For the price of the hotel, parking should be free or at least validated. Number two is coffee and breakfast should be included. Not just one free coupon.
Other than that we had a wonderful stay.

I did not like that I booked to stay for 2 nights 15-17, I arrived on the 16th around 10am and they said my room wasn’t ready! So they still charged me for 2 nights and they gave my room(queen deluxe) to someone else! And they put me on a 2 bed room, they said they couldn’t do anything about it! Was a terrible experience! Had never happened to me before at any other hotels.

We had an excellent experience with Omni. It was a beautiful room and hotel, for a reasonable rate for the experience. Pool was super fun and open later. We got great food for the onsite restaurant without the markup you usually associate with room service. Everyone who worked there was polite, professional, and helpful.

View from out of town.
Our room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Gave 4 stars on comfort because we initially didn't have heat but house staff quickly fixed the problem. Kudos to the repair man. Hot water in bathroom in an instant. Bell hop gentleman was superb. Let's face it, parking was expensive. Only thing strange were the VERY scantly dressed young women in lobby area in the evening. Prostitutes or bad wardrobe choices?
