This home is located five miles from town, sitting on a dead-end road, with public access <2 minutes away. It is a quiet place perfect for retreats, family gatherings, romantic getaways, or simply a vacation with friends/family. Several restaurants and bars either a boat or car ride away. This four seasoned home is the perfect location whether you are looking for a quiet weekend escape, or to fill your weekend with outdoor activities. The space: Breathe the pure air with the state-of-the-art furnace and air purification system, soundless, and running 24/7-keeping your allergies to a minimum. Two bathrooms, three bedrooms, seven beds, two couches, two loveseats, and two blow up mattresses. Several large windows facing the lake for a relaxing view of the morning sunrise or evening sunset. Immaculate 835 square foot deck with barbecue opportunities and patio furniture allowing you to overlook the lake. Private fire pit and lawn chairs provided. Extra room for parking of boats and other trailers. Enjoy the lake as you paddle through the water with the included kayaks. If there is work to do, open the laptop while relaxing at the fire, in the hammock, on the deck or at the dock. The dock: great fishing, gorgeous sunrise views, and during the evening amazing tunes from the loons. Bring outdoor games or enjoy the ones provided (bags, polish horse-shoe, and ring toss). ATV trails right off the driveway and snowmobile trails a short distance away-drivable from the driveway. Within 3 miles of multiple bars and local restaurants (Gilligans, Red’s, Pokegama Lakeside Tavern, Chetek Café, Phill’s, Chetek Bowling, Chetek Hydroflites Ski) and more. 30 minutes from a downhill ski resort, Ice Age National Trail (hiking/snowshoe trails), 40 miles from Eau Claire, WI, <2 hours from St. Paul, Duluth MN, 2 hours from Ashland/Bayfield WI (Apostle Island-Ice Caves on Lake Superior). Rain was quite prevalent, however the interior of the lake home is spacious and allowed us to play family games at the large table, enjoy meals together, watch the giant TV, take cozy naps, and so on. During the non-rainy portions of our stay, we enjoyed the kayaks, the fire pit, a huge, beautiful deck overlooking the lake and taking walks. The home appears to be recently updated with two bathrooms, lots of beds and a well stocked kitchen. The host of this property was communicative and accommodating. The property was clean and ready for us, steps to pier were great, and so was the pier itself. Check in and out were easy. Towels, blankets and pillows provided. 2 bedrooms are in the basement, so they are nice and cold!! A small storm came through, knocked out power for a few hours, did affect the pump for water as well. We communicated with the owner via text, and kept each other up to date on status of things! Great communication especially when I asked a million questions. This was more than a cabin for our family to gather at and it was perfect. Lake access was easy to use. It had plenty of beds, sofas, and general roominess. The pontoon boat we rented for 2 days was a disappointment over all. It was great the few hours we had it out. Then, it wouldn't start anymore. The waterfront view was spectacular! The bed layout was a little different than the pictures when we booked, but we did book over a year before our stay. The new layout worked out better for our group anyway. There was plenty of room upstairs and downstairs for kids to play. If needed, there was room for air mattresses. Plenty of parking available for all of our vehicles. The dishwasher, washer, and dryer made daily tasks much easier and minimized stress. The grill that was on the deck looked almost brand new and worked great! The option to also have a pontoon through the same host was a convenient perk. They also had a paddle board and 4 kayaks available to use. The stairs down to the water were in great condition. The deck had plenty of space, tables, and seating for an outside dinner.
