The staff were all very friendly. The breakfasts were good. There is a limited number of shared bathrooms, so you may need to wait 5-10 minutes for one especially during the morning and evening. While the room description may say there is a sink in the room, be aware not all rooms on the property have sinks and a sink may not be guaranteed. Unfortunately no B&B option was available. Parking is off site but less than 1 block away. Edda, the friendly owner, contacted me in advance to make sure she would be available when we planned to arrive and check-in. The apartment had two bedrooms (3 twin beds and one queen) which was perfect for the five of us; a kitchen with dishwasher; washer/dryer (didn't use but it was available); and a separate living room and bathroom. It was clean, comfortable, and the location can't be beat. It is less than two blocks walk to the Hallgrimskirkja (the big church in the city) and the rest of the shops, restaurants, and sites. Everything is within walking distance. We had a car and street parking was free and plentiful. We didn't need to move the car for the two days we were there and it was only a block away.
