The hotel is in the walking distance to the rainbow road, lots of food options, most of the meeting place for tour pick up are near by!

Very modern condominium Feel with panoramic Views of Reykjavik and harbor. Fantastic breakfast brought to your room every morning was enough food for two meals-fresh and healthy!

The people in charge were nice but the bathroom drains smelled horrible. The blackout curtains only worked in the rooms so whoever stays in the living room on the sofabed has no blackout option so it was hard to sleep. We ran out of toilet paper and it was not refilled so we had to go get our own. The other properties from The Residence Reykjavik looked much nicer than the one we got. Wished they would let you know which “house” you will end up in because I would not have picked that one.

Pros: 1) Easy check-in and check-out—completely contactless, 2) Room was clean and fine for a short stay: comfy beds, mini fridge, coffee maker, TV, and private bathroom, 3) Close to the airport and a gas station, which made returning the rental car convenient, 4) We parked on the street for free and didn’t get a ticket (the small hotel lot was full) Cons: 1) Absolutely no staff presence during our stay, which could be an issue for some travelers, 2) Room wasn’t luxurious (functional but basic)...a bit pricey for what was offered. Overall: Not a memorable stay, but it got the job done for one night near the airport. Would only recommend for travelers who are low-maintenance and want something purely practical.
