Detached, 65m² two-story house with no overlooked views located in the castle's fully enclosed 5-hectare park. It offers a magnificent view of the castle and its chapel.  
  
Ground floor: Living room with wood-burning stove (wood provided), 32" TV, equipped kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, capsule and filter coffee maker, washing machine) opening onto the terrace, open to the living room, separate toilet.  
  
Upstairs: One bedroom with a 160 x 200 cm bed and one bedroom with two 90 x 190 cm beds.  
Bathroom (bathtub) and toilet.  
Office space for teleworking.  
  
Private terrace with garden furniture, barbecue, sun lounger, and access to the enclosed park.  
Off-street parking on the church square. Entrance to the cottage is via a gate.  
  
Beds made upon arrival, linens and towels, electricity, heating, and wood included. Wi-Fi.  
Baby equipment available (crib, high chair, dishes, bathtub, potty, toys).  
Your pets are welcome. Nestled in the magnificent private park of the 18th-19th century Château de Rethondes, and in the heart of two state-owned forests: Compiègne and Laigue, the Gîte de l'Armistice is an ideal place for those who love nature walks and listening to the roar of the deer. The gîte is located next to the village supermarket and a Michelin-starred restaurant. It's an excellent starting point for many nature walks and for visiting the region's tourist attractions: Glade of the Armistice and its Wagon (2.7 km), Medieval Castle of Pierrefonds (7 km), Imperial Palace of Compiègne (8 km), Village of Saint-Jean-aux-Bois (8 km), City of Boatmen of Longueuil-Annel (8 km), Cistercian Abbey of Chiry-Ourscamp (18 km), International City of the French Language, Villers-Cotterêts Castle (20 km), Noyon Cathedral (20 km), Parc Astérix (53 km), Paris (Olympic Games - Eiffel Tower, Montmartre, Louvre Museum) (99 km), accessible via Compiègne train station (8 km), Charles de Gaulle Airport (72 km).
