The location is great, the back deck is nice and peaceful and looks out on a pond. The kids loved finding big bull frogs in the pond and swimming in the pools. The grill had not been cleaned basically ever and caught on fire ruining our dinner the stove burner didn’t work the dish washer was disgusting and also didn’t work and was damaged. There were dead bugs everywhere including the hot tube and sinks. There was 1 dish towel. Over all this could be a great place to stay but it was actually horrible due to lack of maintenance on every single level! ##### Michael J. The bunk bed was so creaky and loud we had to pull the mattresses out to the living room because any movement made a squeky noise. Definitely not clean! The sports center passes are really nice and the area is super cool! Wish we had more time to take advantage of those facilities and the put put course near by. Burned out light bulbs in ceilings. Kitchen skillets are health hazards, dirty and burned on rust, very gross. Shower heads very weak. Shower handle fell off, fortunately husband had tools to fix it. Other than that, we had a carbon monoxide detector that would not stop chirping and, although management was notified, would not be addressed until we left so we slept with the window open just in case (and the chirping detector wrapped in towels outside). Furthermore, there was a non functioning smoke detector. Finally, the condition of the beds, pillows and linens were terrible. ##### Jenny J. The place is well stocked with kitchen equipment, place settings, glassware, pretty much anything you need to cook and eat in. Lots of food storage containers too. Bring your own spices! The beds were comfortable and we loved the warm cozy comforters. Lots of bath and beach towels for our week stay. Bring paper products if you are staying more than a couple of days. We had to purchase toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags. We will definitely consider staying here again. ##### Janice C. Séjour de 7 nuits en septembre 2019 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Christine L. 18 sept. 2019 Points forts : Propreté #### Good, just not great We have stayed at Eagle Crest a number of times over the last 15 years, including in a neighbor of this unit just last year. The property has a lot of great activity options, although over the years it has gotten a lot busier and they have locked things down with extra hoops and rules, so it's not quite as enjoyable as when it felt more laid-back and quiet, but it's still a fun and family-friendly place to visit. We'll certainly be back to the property. This unit was fine. It was very clean, the hot tub was in good working order, there were lots of towels. There were plenty of kitchen gadgets (blender, toaster, waffle iron, a great coffee maker), but but the pans have seen better days and there was an open vent/hole in the kitchen baseboard that froze our feet as we cooked and cleaned. It was one of the starkest units we have stayed in--lots of "rule" signs, generic guides and instructions that didn't even have the blanks filled in, no seasoning/oil/ingredient supplies in the kitchen other than a 5 lb bag of sugar and a salt and pepper shaker (which were in a strange place so we didn't even find them until we were packing up to leave). The back deck was moderately private (some units are more secluded than this one while others less), although they did a good job tucking the hot tub back for privacy. There was a nice little space off the deck, including a creek and a pond, that the kid enjoyed exploring. The question I submitted received an answer right away. I did find the fact that Vacasa (the property management company) doesn't use the HomeAway (or VRBO) app for messaging slightly frustrating. I downloaded their proprietary app because of that, but their app doesn't have a messaging component, just creates an email, so there was really no point to that extra step and I wish they would have directed me to email instead of telling me to download the app. Bottom line: We wouldn't deter someone from staying in this unit. There was nothing wrong with it. It just met the minimum expectations with no special touches to bump it up to 5 stars. (Better unremarkable than problematic! This was not that.) ##### Christine L.
