The staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. The main issue is the age of the lodge and the fact that they deal with heating issues. The main area of the lodge was cold and, though they upgraded us to a room with heat (main lodge rooms didnā€™t have any), the heater worked sporadically. They also have newer wings with more up to date amenities. There are lots of trails easily accessible from the lodge that feature old growth rain forests covered in moss. The surrounding area is amazingly beautiful. We really enjoyed the Rainforest tour with our guide Ashton. The Lake itself is swimmable ā€” but some might find it chilly and there is a substantial current. Also good for kayaking.
