Great place to stay!
Location is perfect! Only one of 2 places that’s right on the beach! The hosts/workers were great! Communication was incredible! Ms Anna helped us when we arrived! She helped with our luggage. She was so so so sweet! She was so patient & made sure we were comfortable! She gave us recommendations of things to do! She even helped us book the activities! It was also nice to have the little corner store & igloo lounge nearby. We got a quick bite to eat a few times! The morning breakfast & little outside restaurant were great! The little bar was nice as well! My daughter had her coffee every morning! The housekeeping was good as well! We also loved the local dogs that just hang out! The only complaint is that we saw 2 roaches inside our room. The gentleman that worked late got rid of the first one. But we saw another the next day that my daughter killed with her shoe. We saw one outside on the patio as well, unfortunately.

Dream beachfront stay
This little hotel has got all the right stuff! They’ve created a great ambiance, with gardens that seclude them from nearby properties, a great outdoor eating area for their kitchen and bar. The beach has both shade and sun and all day lounging opportunities the room is well equipped with a huge covered balcony, is super clean and the bed is so comfortable and luxurious. It’s close to so many things! You will need a car. And they have 24 HR security on their parking lot. We could have stayed for weeks! Loved this spot abd will return.

Incredibly friendly staff, right by National Park
We stayed recently at Buena Vista and were overwhelmed by how friendly and helpful the staff are! They helped us with every detail and were so kind. Our room was beautiful and had one window facing the ocean and the other facing the jungle. It was also extremely close to the National Park so we just walked there, no expensive parking. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend!

Perfect
The place is perfect for a beach and nature vacation. Playa Espadilla is a gorgeous beach steps from the property. Sloths and monkeys and other critters abound. Breakfast every morning was delicious. Watching all the people walking down from the high end places made me very happy to be where we were. All the people are extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean, air conditioned, and very comfortable, with the jungle right outside the window. Terrific location for all sorts of activities. We’d be back in a heartbeat. ¡Pura Vida!

I was worried this listing was "too good to be true" but it was exactly as offered. The staff was excellent and we had so many fun adventures. We will be back!

Simply Wonderful
Couldnt beat the location. Last major (on the beach) hotel before Manuel Antonio NP. You can walk to the park entrance from this hotel if you want either on the beach, or adjacent road (maybe between a quarter to half a mile or so). Saw our first sloth, lots of capuchin monkeys, and hummingbirds right on the property. The beach in front of the hotel was very clean and the water was as warm as a bath. Staff seemed very eager to make our stay pleasent. One of them even let me use his own air pump out of his own personal car to air up a low tire on my rental when i asked him where the closest place i could do that. I simply can't reccomend this place enough.

Perfect beachfront getaway
This was a beautiful place to stay- right on the beach and walking distance to Manuel Antonio National Park. The staff had great communication and is very accomodating. Our room was clean and had a great view. Bonus- the restaurant on site is delicious. We would definitively stay here again!

The property was lovely and our room was perfect. Comfortable and very clean. The large balcony overlooking the ocean was perfect for morning coffee and breakfast on the beach was a real treat. The staff are amazing and went out of their way to be helpful. They went beyond what one might expected. We will not hesitate to recommend this unit.

beautiful beach
It was an ideal spot to just roll out of bed and go to the beach. There was always a beach chair and umbrella available for me to enjoy the sand and surf. I have food limitations; the staff and chef were particularly careful when ordering and preparing my meals. The room was comfortable and having a mid-size refrigerator helped with my food needs. I would definitely recommend this place for others to stay when visiting Manuel Antonio Beach.

Just perfect!
We loved everything about this place, but especially the friendly and helpful staff and the location!! It really felt more private and way less touristy. We honestly interacted with at least 8-10 different staff members during our five night stay and they ALL were kind, courteous, and so interested in making our stay the best possible experience. We saw monkeys, iguanas, and a sloth right on the property, but none of the wildlife was a nuisance! It only added to the awesome and unique experience! The beach is pristine and the easy and quick access was like a dream! We are already trying to figure out how soon we can return to this hotel! It was just perfect!

Absolutely wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay here. Right on the beach as described. Great office staff, Melanie helped us with a great bird tour that I hadn’t found online. Breakfast and Pina Coladas at tiki bar also good. Great deal for the price and highly recommend.

Just book it!
We just returned from 10 days at Buena Vista Beach Hotel. It’s hard to put the experience into words but I’ll try. This location right on the beach is so special, we felt lucky to have found it. Many people came to the beach each day from the fancier hotels up on the hill and had to pay for chairs to enjoy the beach. We felt extra special to have our chairs on the beach set up for us each day by the staff as an included amenity for staying at the hotel. Joswe and Melinda in reception made us feel like royalty and were so kind, helpful and welcoming. We loved all of the amazing bartenders and servers on the beach. A few standouts for their amazing service are Joseph, Marilee and Dennis! The location is amazing with restaurants, small grocery store and souvenir shopping within walking distance down the beach. Many more restaurants are a short taxi or bus ride away. We loved the room and the amazing balcony facing the ocean. It was a great spot to watch the torrential downpours in the evenings or to just watch the busy happenings below on the beach. Room was very clean and a comfortable home away from home while we were there. Any small problems that arose were promptly fixed by the amazing staff. Be sure to get a massage on the beach by Alexandra! Best massage I’ve ever had! Book this property! You won’t regret it! Thanks Buena Vista for welcoming us like family. We can’t wait to visit you again soon. Pura Vida!

The location and room and restaurant were all excellent but what really struck us was the warmth of the wonderful people who worked to make us comfortable and meet our every need! For such a young group they were all very professional and service oriented!

The best accommodation if you want to be close to the beach!
My husband and I stayed for five nights and thoroughly enjoyed the location. It is exactly what we wanted...very short walk to the beach. Our second floor room faced the ocean which you could see through the many trees which are kept trimmed and manicured. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The morning breakfast which is included is absolutely amazing and delicious. And you can even ask for a table closer to the water's edge. There is a lot of wildlife in the trees around you. We saw two different kinds of monkeys, a sloth, and a Scarlet macaw without even leaving the hotel. The only downside that we experienced was the location of our room, which is located above the restaurant kitchen and overlooking the parking lot. Beginning at 6:00 a.m. there is noise below from the kitchen and from the delivery trucks and taxis and tour vans. In the afternoon when the restaurant is making lunch, the room smells of cooking food and is very very hot due to the kitchen below and also the northwest facing window with the setting sun. There are only three top floor ocean-facing rooms. The one on the south side of the building is by far the best. During our stay the restaurant was not open for dinner, but a short walk up the road takes you to the restaurant located at the Igloo hotel which has very good food and laid back vibe. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at Buena Vista, and loved the Espadilla Beach!

Perfect location and staff
Everyone was super nice and helpful here. The ocean is close and Manuel Antonio is really walkable if you're the type that likes to walk. It is tough to walk along the beach if tide is high. The food was good and fruity drinks were some of the best we've ever had. We saw our first sloth napping in a tree near the water. We also saw a raccoon, squirrel monkeys, white-faced monkeys (watch out for them), and lots of colorful birds. We would absolutely recommend this place. Have fun!

Great escape on Espadilla Beach
- Clean and comfortable room. Room came with a balcony and it was relaxing having a seat drinking included coffee/tea and watching the ocean. - Customer service was excellent A+. The receptionist gave a short tour of the property. The staff was available 24/7, very friendly and attentive - Included hot/cold breakfast. We had to leave for a tour and the staff packed the breakfast to go for us! - Security staff overnight watches over the property and your vehicle. We felt very safe. - Would've loved to stay longer. Highly recommended! Note that this is not in Manuel Antonio beach - you need ticket to the park to access that beach. This is on Espadilla Beach, which is excellent for surfing.
