De plus, demandez une chambre sans personne au-dessus parce qu’on entend les gens marcher sur notre tête. Les lieux sont trop isolés à notre goût. Nous ne recommandons pas particulièrement cet endroit. »

« Lovely location near the beach, an easy walk. No snorkeling on Punalu’u, but we saw turtles on the beach every day and kids were boogie boarding and swimming. 40 minute drive to Volcanoes National Park, and we spent 2 days exploring there. Very open and airy island home. High ceiling made it feel very spacious. Feels remote, and the complex was very quiet. Birds and geckos will visit you on the lanai. No A/C, but it cooled down quickly with the breeze at night when the windows were open...

« We loved our stay here. This particular unit has one of the best locations on the property with a direct view of the ocean. We saw many whales right offshore from our unit! The location near the black sand beach was fantastic and we loved the ocean and turtles. It is a quiet and peaceful place to visit. The unit was very comfortable and clean. We had everything we needed and was perfect for a quiet getaway. »

« My other half and I stayed at this place to attend my cousin’s wedding in Na’alehu and it was an amazing stay! We truly enjoyed the quiet, relaxing, cleanliness of the unit and overall property. We had some down time to relax prior to the wedding so we enjoyed some relaxation poolside and in the Jacuzzi. This place is a quick 10-15 minute drive to either Na’alehu or Pahala. Awesome hosts, with prompt responses! We highly recommend! »

« Very nice vacation suite, nicely stocked kitchen with many appliances to use. The patio opens up just outside pool/hot tub area. Love the location, just down the road from black sand beach. This was our second time staying in Colony 1, can't wait to come back again! »

« It was very convenient location in Hilo. Next to lovely grounds. I did not see a hot tub, but did use pool. We had a mountain view but not an ocean view. The 3 balconies were great for viewing. For the price this is a good value. The bathtubs are old. But, they work fine. It is an older unit and building, but it was comfortable. Two bedroom and two bathrooms. Has coffee filters and shampoo. Has parking under facility. Walkable to a beach and lovely park area. »

« Clean unit, Old Hawaii style complex, grounds are well kept with pretty flowers and palms, coastal ocean view from this units ground floor lanai...pool has coastal view too. Feels private most of the time.Unit has 2 units above and one on side...if your neighbors are noisy at night you are going to hear them...needs some kind of sound deadening for the ceiling. »

« Our stay at this property was amazing. We loved the condo. The ocean views were amazing, and the home felt very comfortable, clean, and relaxing. We loved that it is remote, and out of the tourist core. The complex is relatively quiet and very peaceful. We are already hoping to stay again. »

« Very nicely kept and quiet property away from everything. About a 2 hour drive from the airport, but easy enough. Very close to the black sand beach and Volcano park. Only downside was no air conditioning, but it cooled off nicely at night with the windows open. It was comfortable for our group of 5 for the 2 days we were there. Thanks! »

« The house was beautiful and location was ideal for visiting Volcanoes National Park and black sand beach. Only knock we have was the shower water temperature never got very warm. While it wasn’t cold, it wasn’t ideal either. Otherwise 5 stars! »

« The unit was exactly as pictured. The grounds and the lanai view were gorgeous and old time Hawaiian, with lava walls everywhere. Very laid back and quiet rural area, easy walk to the beach. The first day there we saw a turtle and a small eel hanging out in the tidepools. Comfortable bed and nice unit, beautiful large shower with stone floor. Well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the pool. No issues getting into the unit. Great place to get away from it all. »
