The Space: Situated on the 6th floor, this condo offers great views of the town below and the majestic Pacific Ocean, plus all the comforts of home, providing the perfect getaway to Puerto Vallarta for a small group of up to 6 guests! Not only does the condo offer a relaxing retreat, but the building has a refreshing pool and a whirlpool where you can relax after a nice workout in the well-equipped fitness center! There’s access to the private balcony steps from the sitting area that features a wall-mounted Smart TV and comfy seating. Through the floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors is the balcony that has a dining table where you can enjoy your morning coffee and the view, plus a hanging bird's nest chair perfect for one. If you don’t feel like dining out, no worries, the kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and all the utensils and cookware you’d need to whip up any meal of the day. For sit-down meals at home, there’s a dining table for 4, and the breakfast bar provides additional space for indoor dining or working on your laptop if needed. The master bedroom has a king bed, an ensuite full bath with a shower/tub combo, and direct access to the balcony. The second bedroom offers two double beds and lots of closet space. Both rooms have A/C for your comfort and room-darkening curtains so you can get the most out of your resting hours. Guest Access: Guests have exclusive access to the condo as well as access to the common areas and shared amenities such as the pool and gym. Check-in is from 4 pm to 7 pm, access before or after this hour is not permitted. The check-in is in person. Please note that checking in without the host present may result in fines imposed by the condominium administration. Check-out is 12 pm, extending beyond this time will result in a penalty fee. The Neighborhood: The Altos property is located in the 5 de Diciembre neighborhood, just north of the heart of town and about 7 blocks from the beach. In just a short distance, you’ll find an array of local eats, shops, beach clubs, golf, water sports and more! Getting Around: The nearest international airport is Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR), about 8 kilometers / 5 miles away. If you are arriving by car, there’s parking on street that is first come, first serve. Puerto Vallarta also has Uber, so you can easily get around. Other Things to Note: The guests from Sand Pacific will get a margarita drink per person as a courtesy at the beach club Mangos. There will be no entrance of the beach club, and the minimum consumption required is just a meal. Guests will have to book in advance directly to Mangos Beach club. The condo itself is beautiful and quite large. You can not beat the view. It is great having a balcony off the living room and bedroom. The other condo owners are wonderful and very welcoming, which is not always the case. A word of caution, the property is at the top of a very steep hill. If you have mobility issues, this might not be the place for you. The property could use a bit of upkeep. A missing light fixture, tub without a tap, broken handle on one cabinet door and just a bit of needed maintenance didn't hurt our stay at all. But these should be fixed up. ##### Wade W. The Altos is a gem in the heart of PV. The property needed several updates. Example: faucet was missing in the bathroom leaving a large hole, linens were old and stained, shower drained slowly, furniture was soiled and we needed to wash and put down blankets to sit, and the furniture was dated. The front door lock was broken with no key and it was easy to lock yourself out of your own unit.We requested additional linens and keys, which the management company delivered new items the following day.Housekeeping could use a few tips, such as sweeping before mopping and tending to the plants. We cleaned up the place upon arrival by sweeping and mopping. In addition, we removed all the dead leaves from the potted plants and put them around the balcony to create a tropical feeling. Upon arrival the potted plants were pushed into a corner, dying, and it looked like housekeeping was using debris behind the plants. Given the condition upon arrival, we also washed all the kitchen supplies to ensure they were sanitized properly.Communication was difficult and we had to leave the VRBO site to pay, which made us anxious as the VRBO states to only pay through VRBO. I think the rental agency struggled with using the VRBO platform.Other members of the condo referred to the owner of the property as a slumlord, making us feel unwelcome. ##### kimberlee A.
