Ocean view condo located within the Cortez building (703)that sits directly on Sandy Beach and is available in the 4-Diamond Las Palomas Resort in Rocky Point, Mexico (Puerto Penasco). Championship golf, restaurants, fabulous pools, lazy river, children’s pools, poolside service, hot tubs, 24-hour gated security, underground parking…even room service!! Rates include daily maid service and necessities provided such as: shampoo, conditioner, soap, towels, laundry detergent, and blow dryer. WiFI is included. The RENTAL POOL also entitles you to the use of ALL amenities and resort services, charging privileges, free pool towels, immediate condo maintenance if needed. Master Bedroom: Large master bedroom has flat screen TV with cable and comes equipped with a safe to keep valuables locked, if needed. The master bathroom has floor to ceiling marble with inlaid travertine tile includes a separate walk in shower plus a large soaking tub. Master bedroom has its own sliding door leading to the balcony to overlook the ocean. Blackout curtains in case you would like to sleep in. Unfortunately this time it was a bit of a disappointment. The condo was beautiful and clean however when we got there the guest toilet was leaking all over. We called and it took 3 different trips of workmen to fix it. Our dishwasher did not work, again 2 more trips of workmen in and out. The ice dispenser didn't work, and the dryer did not dry anything. We had workmen in and out for 3 days trying to fix things. When the owner was contacted the reply was pretty much its not my fault im not there so it is up to the property management. She told us to go to the store for ice( fine no problem) she said have house keeping clean the dishes, and she said nothing other than I was there 3 weeks ago and everything was fine. I specifically rent a condo for these amenities especially with small kids. We also asked for our condo to be cleaned one time in 6 days and for new linens and towels, it was not cleaned they left a pile of towels in one bathroom and made the beds with the same linens( my daughters bed still had sand and cheeto finger prints on it). I was overall disappointed with my rental, unfortunately we will not stay in this unit again. I understand things go wrong but we should have been compensated or something. ##### Alyssa L. Oct 22, 2019 Liked: Cleanliness, location Disliked: Check-in, communication #### Property is nice, but Owner has some learning to do First thing first, everyone should know that the property contact/owner is brand new to vacation rentals and has no idea what they’re doing. The owner’s lack of pictures and lack of communication prior was beyond frustrating. It also took us an hour to check in because they didn’t notify the resort ahead of time of our reservation. The owner didn’t give us any instruction for check-in or check-out either, so it was very confusing. There was also no instructions in the condo, so we had no idea how to call down for the front desk, make dinner reservations, etc. The third bedroom is also not really a bedroom...it’s a small closet with two bunk beds (not closet or window). There is also a switch in the laundry room that must be turned on in order for the hot water tank to work, which took us a while to figure out after a few cold showers. The condo was a good size with nice finishes and great view. The furniture was also newer and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was stocked well with plates, pots/pans, toaster, utensils, etc. There was salt/pepper, but no other spices/oil/food, so make sure you bring all of that stuff with you if you plan on cooking. Also, there weren’t any extra trash bags, paper towels, laundry soap, etc. so make sure you bring those items with you as well or figure out how to call the maid service. The bell hop told us that the fridge water was filtered and the small faucet in the kitchen had filtered water as well. One of the couches in the living room has a pull-out sofa, so the condo could sleep 8 total (but keep in mind that the “bunk room” is not very adult friendly. There was a TV with cable and a speaker in the front room with a USB plug, which came in handy for music. However, keep in mind that quiet time starts at 10 and the neighbors do complain. The 2nd bedroom is by the outer hallway, so it can be noisy in the morning and the blinds are see through at night. As far as the resort goes, it’s definitely more for a relaxing family friendly vacation and not so inviting for fun adult time. The resort is clean, guard gated and has good food. Parking isn’t an issue and there is a separate lot for trailer parking if you want to bring down your toys. There is also a small store over in Phase 1\. This condo is located in Phase 2, which is more modern than Phase 1 and the building is in better shape.
