The place was immaculate, and had all of your household needs- everything was in top shape and perfect working order. The area around the unit was genuinely perfect. The only thing here that needs to be made clear to other visitors is that there is a highway nearby. When it’s quiet, it’s very quiet, but at the busier points in the day it can be a little noisy. It was a little bit of pleasure along with Business. The pillows weren't that great and we really had a hard time figuring out how to use the microwave. Also, they do not have an oven when we travel we like to cook as much as we can, and wine glasses would be a plus if they had them, but other than that it was a very nice stay. My daughter and I had the small Pine Cabin. It was comfy and cute. The bath house was comfortable and the property itself was very well kept. We didn’t get to enjoy the fire pit or games but they’d be fun for a family. This place is so much cuter than an old hotel. The icing on the cake was I accidentally left my air pods behind and they actually overnighted them to me (I paid shipping). I was so happy, I thought they were gone forever! The tents were nice, the beds were comfortable and the a/c (evaporative cooling) worked well. The property had fun activities, including horseshoes, tetherball, cornhole and a gas firepit. Each camp site also has a firepit, wood and a bucket of water, but we did not build a fire because it was warm out. Our tent also had a patio with table and chairs. We loved sitting there to enjoy the view by day and the stars by night. The bathhouse was clean, well designed and more convenient than we expected. Check-in was very easy - they sent an email prior to arrival with instructions for accessing the site and the tent. If you prefer not to cook, there is a fun restaurant across the street, along with the adventure outfitters (ziplining & rafting). We used these services and everything was super convenient. Some reviews mentioned highway noise, but that was not an issue for us at all. This year, I suggested we go white water rafting in Colorado. When I was looking for a place to stay in Cañon City and these cabins popped up, I was extremely intrigued. After looking at all of the options, I decided that the 2 bed glamping tents was perfect for us. The staff was very hands on about getting all of my information before our arrival, so we could just go straight to our tent and not have to worry about checking in. The process was seamless. I got a phone call that morning even asking if I got the email with the proper information. Upon our arrival, we were in awe. Perfect location, beautiful scenery, and amazingly clean facilities. We were also provided with our own bundle of wood and a bag with fire starters in it each day we were there. I cannot recommend this place more. At first look, they are lovely. However, the noise of the nearby highway combined with wind flapping the tent, kept us up ALL night. We forfeited a night and left early which cut our weekend getaway in half. We didn't get to do the sight seeing we had planned for Sunday and we were all exhausted Saturday so we didn't even enjoy our trip. I slept almost 12 hours when I got home after not being able to sleep in the tent. I have camped A LOT, and I have never had such a terrible night's sleep. The property is nice, the facilities are clean, the beds were super comfortable with nice bedding, and there is nice scenery. However, none of that matters when you can't sleep.
