This hotel-room-style studio features air-conditioning for your comfort, a king bed, a full bathroom, and a private lanai. It's ideally positioned on the top floor - but only eight steps above the ground level, making it easy to access. You'll also enjoy all the amenities that Hanalei Bay Resort has to offer. Hanalei Bay Resort is one of the premier properties on Kauai. Nestled on 22 acres along the beautiful coastline of the North Shore, the resort abounds with tropical foliage and amazing views of the green mountains, waterfalls, tropical sunsets over Bali Hai, and the beautiful blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. In this spot overlooking Hanalei Bay, you'll be steps from a white-sand beach located below the resort. Originally built as a tennis resort, the property still features some of the finest tennis facilities on the island. Enjoy access to eight tennis courts, a tennis pro shop, bell and shuttle service, beach gear rentals, a lagoon-style saltwater pool designed for family fun, and a quieter, smaller pool for those looking for something a little more relaxing. Hanalei Bay Resort swim-up pool bar is indefinitely closed. This is a privately owned unit in a resort. Since it is privately owned and rented, hotel-style housekeeping is not offered. There is no daily housekeeping. Parking notes: There is parking available for a fee and charges will apply for 1 vehicle. This rental is located on floor 2. It was nice being able to walk to the beach which the property shares with 1 Hotel. The biggest downside was checking in and communication with the management team. They did not have us on the list to check in which caused us to wait about an additional hour to check in. The management team did not want to communicate and help resolve the issue as to why my name wasn’t down and they didn’t care that it took an hour for the hotel to get our reservation. Vacasa dropped the ball on adding us to the reservation list so, upon arrival, we were not able to get checked in to the resort. You are not contacting a property owner, you are contacting an outsourced team with no connection or knowledge of the property. I was put on hold repeatedly for extended periods of time, only to be asked what I was calling about over and over again. I asked for a manager but the agent was very reluctant to transfer me. When I finally did speak to a manager, I asked that they relay the issue to the property owner, and they said they had no way of doing that.That presents a real problem when you need help with the property itself. They said they would try reaching someone “local” to call the resort, whatever that means.The resort concierge said this happens multiple times a day with Vacasa. It was the furthest building back so we had nobody in front of us and it was breathtaking all through out the day. The pool and outdoor lobby area was very beautiful and welcoming as well. We spent most of our time exploring vs at the resort but coming back to a clean room with a large bathroom was ideal. Only thing to note is the walk from the unit to the parking lot is a bit of a haul (but at least it’s pretty along the way) ##### Erin d.
