Hanalei Bay Resort overlooks Hanalei Bay from a tropical, lush 28 acres in Princeville. Beautiful ocean and Bali Hai views are everywhere on this property. Beach access is provided down a long, fair grade, paved path, and the resort staff offer convenient golf cart rides to the beach below. With four new artificial turf and two new hard courts as well as 6 new pickleball courts added to this world ranked tennis resort, everyone is sure to find their groove. Onsite restaurant, pizza oven, and coffee shop, concierge and fitness center, there is little need to ever leave! This double studio unit with two bathrooms, kitchenette, and washer/dryer is great for a larger party accommodating up to 6 people! The kitchenette allows for some cooking options with the two burner cook top and microwave. It also has a toaster, blender, coffee maker and tea kettle. One king bed and two queen beds with two bathrooms and two spacious lanais, this unit is located close to the parking lot and resort amenities such as pool, hot tub, tennis courts and a fire pit seating area. Both rooms are really large and the beds are very comfortable (I always bring my own pillow). Listing says mountain view, but you also get a view of beautiful Hanalei Bay in front of the mountains. It is the most beautiful view on all of the Hawaiian Islands in my opinion. People rush at sunset to the 1 Hotel Hanalei, but the view from our room was just as pretty. The mornings are spectacular watching the reflection of the sunrise change the color on the mountains was one of my favorite things to do. Normally we are on the go and spend very little time in our hotel rooms, but this view was so beautiful that we kept coming back to spend time there. Everything you need is provided. Plenty of beach chairs, coolers, and leftover snorkel gear if you aren't picky. You can also rent from cheap $5 a day from pedal n paddle in Hanalei if you need fins. The kitchen is small and the fridge is small but there is also a small fridge in the other room. We always had plenty of space for cold drinks, breakfast and lunch fixings. It has everything you need, toaster, blender etc.. The room is really close to the lobby (but still private) and you can park right below the room. Very close to Happy Talk, where you will want to go for dinners and cocktails. Free and plentiful ice in the ice machines and cold water in a dispenser in the lobby (until 6pm). The pool is so close to the room, but swim-up bar is closed. ##### Suzanne C. The grounds are pretty and the staff are nice and the golf cart service mentioned in the previous review was nice to have b/c it is a steep winding way down to the beach. I knew the room would be dated by the photos which would have been fine if it had been clean. There was a chunk of long hair on the wall of one of the showers and clump of long hair in one of the beds. The floors were not clean, the lanai was full of sand and the room was dusty. I called Vacation Realty Hawaii twice and got VM, left my number and never got a call back. This was the contact that was indicated for me to call if the room was not clean. Since they didn't call back, I cleaned the floors, swept the lanai, dusted the place and just didn't use the bed with the hair on the sheets. As noted by the previous review from 2 years ago, the dishes are still a random assortment and the mugs had coffee stains. I am not one to write a negative review, but I was extremely frustrated that my calls were not returned and that the room was not clean. Completely not acceptable. I have never had this kind of experience before. There are definitely better condos in this location and I would highly recommend finding a better one. ##### Diane M. They layout is well thought out as most of the time you do not even notice the other rooms around you. The hotel staff are friendly, understanding and able to assist you. There is a great golf cart service that drives you around the grounds and down to Pua Poa Beach! For these reasons, our stay was very enjoyable. I must note however that I would not return to this hotel due to a couple of things. Our room was sub-par. It seemed to be a hodge-podge of dishes, kitchen ware and design. Seemed like a place that got the seconds or thirds of things. I am all for using what you have rather than buying new but it should at least be of quality. The knives didn't cut, the coffee pot leaked, the non-stick coated pots were all scratched, the cabinet door to the laundry was stripped and the doors didn't stay shut. The sheets and comforter smelled musty and were rough. The a/c was weak but much needed since we were there during a very hot week in August. The ice bucket was mildewy. The pool was beautiful to look at but poor in design. The kids sandy area abutted the deepest part of the pool. The rock and pool bottom were extremely rough! The depth was uneven which made it difficult for a beginner swimmer to keep track of where they could swim while still being able to touch. I ended up wearing my Tevas in the pool to make it somewhat more pleasant. Hot tub was also quite deep. Lastly, the hotel restaurant was closed for renovations, something we were not aware of while booking the room. There were still some food options but not as standard of fare. I believe other rooms were nicer, unfortunately we did not get one of those. Bring water shoes! ##### Lauren P. We absolutely loved the resort itself, the location of the property to the pool and lobby and the view from the balcony. The view!!! It's gorgeous. We spent a lot of time sitting on the balcony in the early morning looking at the view, and watching the chickens and nene's walking around! Having rooms 1205 and 1206 was the perfect size for our family of 4\. We had an amazing stay, we loved it!!! Highly highly recommend! ##### Sarah H.
