A spacious covered deck affords you a front-row seat to this 14-acre boulder and pine creation, right out your back door. Two new Trade air conditioning and furnaces installed in February 2023\. The east-facing deck is made for outdoor entertaining. It has a built-in propane grill and a tiled buffet. Lots of comfortable seating makes this the place to relax on a warm summer evening with a glass of wine or cool winter morning with a cup of coffee. An 8ft. slider brings you into an open living room. This space has vaulted ceilings with light knotty pine and a beautiful stone fireplace. These are surrounded by Lazy Boy recliners and attractive dark upholstered couch and love seat. Whether you are staring dreamily into the fire or watching a program on the cable flat-screen TV, it's hard to get up and do anything else.The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, slow cooker, mixer, coffee pot, toaster, can opener, blender,microwave, and dishwasher. A large dining room table makes meals easy and accommodating. Boulder Cabin sleeps 5 with a queen in each bedroom and a sofa (not a sofa sleeper} in the living room. Wonderful views surprise you out of the bedroom windows. The master bath is very special with a walk in dual head shower, and separate toilet room. I never close the blinds, because the 14 acres of large boulders and trees, is a strong deterrent to to any casual person passing by. Both bedrooms share a covered deck for bird watching or bat spotting. A picnic table makes for fun outdoor dining to feed kids. The hall bath with tub/shower combination is convenient for guests. Internet and washer/dryer bring modern touches to the cozy cabin in the rocks. Keep an open mind as you drive through Canyon View Trailer Park, as it is quite an eyesore. The Fillingim's have owned that park and all of the land back into the canyon for many years. They raised 5 children in the stone house on the hill above and behind the park. Two of the grown kids have built beautiful homes behind the electronic gate just beyond my cabin. I have owned this cabin since 2005\. I feel totally safe when I am at the cabin alone, while never having had anything vandalized or stolen. Many times the residents in the park have helped me with one thing or another.Please keep in mind not to base my review on the trailer park as I have disclosed it completely. I must maintain a 4.8 to remain a Preferred Partner which determines my placement on the internet. The sink had dirty dishes with food left for at least a week or more. We had to wash the bedding ourselves prior to being able to go to sleep as there were no extra sheets. We had to purchase cleaning supplies, toilet paper, and air freshener since all such supplies were locked up and inaccessible. We sent photos and a message to the host and received a single response the next day asking only for clarification of what we purchased. No apology or further communication despite multiple messages. While we might recommend the property itself, I would have some serious reservations about the host and their lack of response and attention to ensuring the place is ready for the guests. We left the place cleaner than we found it. If you want hustle and bustle, this isn’t the place for you. If you want quiet and peaceful, book it. It has everything you need for your stay. It is a very quiet location and has beautiful views from the deck in which to enjoy your morning coffee or just sitting and relaxing. If sitting on the deck at night you may hear coyotes in the distance. Did not see any wildlife but did enjoy many birds including a hummingbird which flew up close to me. There is a hummingbird feeder hanging on the deck which is empty and I was tempted to make some food for them while there. I feed hummingbirds where I live and they are my favorite little birds. The beds were very comfortable and quiet ceiling fans in each bedroom. Didn't do any cooking while there but appeared to have everything you would need if you did. Is not far from downtown for restaurant dining and close to a market and a CVS drug store and some fast food locations if so needed. A highlight for us was a short drive to a Dairy Queen for an evening ice cream. If you are wanting a very quiet and peaceful location with great views this it it. If visiting friends who live very close by again we would not hesitate staying here again. ##### Mary M. Well equipped kitchen and nice dining room. The living room was so cozy and warm with a large screen TV and gas fireplace.
