The general layout is linear, following the main route through the town. For nature enthusiasts and those planning excursions to nearby waterfalls and reserves, staying here offers practical advantages. You'll find it easier to arrange transport or access the main roads leading to the Moconá Falls or the various trails within the Yabotí Biosphere Reserve.

The best time to visit Pozo Azul is during the shoulder seasons, specifically April to June and September to November, when the weather is pleasant and the crowds are smaller.During these months, you'll experience comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 20°C to 28°C, which is ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the region, including the nearby Moconá Falls. The humidity is also lower than in the summer months, making outdoor activities more enjoyable. This period also offers good opportunities for wildlife spotting, as many animals are more active. For travellers who prefer warmer weather and don't mind the possibility of occasional rain, the summer months of December to March can also be a good option. Temperatures can reach up to 35°C, and while there are more tourists, the lush greenery of the rainforest is at its peak. However, be prepared for higher humidity and more frequent, though often short-lived, thunderstorms.
