My wife and I had a wonderful time. We saw many mule deer and white tail deer in the area. We also saw a herd of elk, just past the cabin at the entrance to Shoshone National Forrest. Do not miss Clark’s Fork Canyon, it is beautiful and we saw big horn sheep and antelope there. As mentioned in other reviews, there were low beams in the cabin but I am 6’2 and I didn’t have any problems at all. One of the best! ##### James K. We stayed there over Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. The first night you could here howling and the views are breathtaking. It's remote but not so remote that you feel isolated. We brought all our food and cooked every meal there. The host was hands down the best we've ever encountered. Extremely considerate and stayed in touch to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. It was a great getaway and we have already started making plans on going back. The cabin is small so it's perfect for a family of 5 or less, I probably wouldn't want to share it with another family unless you have vacationed with them before. I cannot say enough good things about this place and the amount of history that's tied to this cabin. Lots of great books to read there as well. ##### Jeff R. There is an entrance to the Forest one mile from the cabin. You will want a four wheel drive to manage the unimproved stone lanes but truly worth it-very secluded. Being an older cabin it was a bit rustic but that was expected. It is a true Western experience. Be prepared as it is bear country. Great sunrise and sunsets! Loved watching from the wrap around porch as the light changed the color of the mountains. Only real issue was the tub/shower-It is a tall tub and may be hard to get in and out. In addition there is an overhead structural log that kept me from standing straight up (I'm 6'). ##### Roy W. The area is so unique, peaceful and quiet. The beds were comfy. We did not cook but the kitchen seemed adequate. Our only struggle was the shower and tub area. For the two men it was a small space with a low ceiling - difficult to move around the tub. Also the hand held shower sprayer was difficult to use easily. You have complete privacy at the cabin if you just want some relaxing downtime to read, hike, fish, or sit on the porch and watch the storms roll in. You are close enough to explore Yellowstone, the Beartooth Highway, Red Lodge, and of course all that Cody has to offer. This property perfectly fits my needs and there are no surprises. We took a nice hike near the cabin that our family just loved. It's a quiet place and a great spot to admire the stars at night. We drove into Cody a couple of days, which was about a half hour from the cabin. We also drove to Yellowstone two days and had many adventures there. The cabin was very comfortable, and the view is breathtaking. You do need to duck some if you are tall, but my husband still has all his brain cells. Not only was the inside great, but the outside was great too. We really enjoyed cooking s'mores outside at the fire pit, and coffee on the back porch in the morning. ##### Lucinda S. It was a beautiful cabin and the setting was very peaceful. It has everything you would need for your hideaway in the mountains. It had plenty of room and everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. It was clean and looked exactly like the pics. It’s in a beautiful area but keep in mind if you’re going to Yellowstone you’ll have a 1 1/2 hour drive from the cabin. If you want solitude with great views this is the cabin for you. Very old west feeling from the moment you walk in the door. Deborah is so nice and super easy to work with and answered all of my questions. I would not change one single thing about this house. It's simply amazing. We spent a lot of time just sitting on the porch taking it all in. A week was definitely not long enough for us.
