A 1h30 des Thousands Islands et de Lake Placid, 1h de Cornwall frontière du Canada. - le train klaxonne la nuit .Potsdam c'est pas folichon.... conclusion: une très bonne ėtape pour visiter les Adirondacks surtout pendant l'été indien

Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel liegt zentral und doch idyllisch mit Blick auf den Raquette-River und den Ives-Park. Potsdam N. Y. ist jedoch in keinster Weise ein touristischer Ort, sondern eher das sprichwörtliche „Provinznest“. Die Zimmer sind im typisch gemütlichen US-Stil eingerichtet: gedeckte Farben, dicker rostroter Teppich, Holzmöbel, sauber und mit ein paar Annehmlichkeiten, wie einem großen TV, einer Kaffeemaschine, einem Kühlschschrank und Mikrowelle ausgestattet. Der TV ist aber etwas unglücklich platziert, da er in der einen Ecke des Raumes gegenüber einem der Betten steht und vom anderen Bett aus nur in einem flachen Winkel angeschaut werden kann. Das Mobiliar hat seine besten Jahre hinter sich und bräuchte mal eine Auffrischung, die Tapete löst sich an einige Stellen bereits von den Wänden. Positiv: Bequeme Betten Sauberes Badezimmer Großer Parkplatz direkt am Hotel Negativ: Im Pantrybereich war der Kleenexspender leer. Laute Gasheizung unter dem Fenster, die unvermittelt auch nachts anspringt und im ersten Moment an eine Straßenkehrmaschine denken lässt, die draußen ihre Arbeit verrichtet. Die Möbel sind schon etwas abgestoßen und stellenweise renovierungsbedürftig. Sowohl im Zimmer, als auch im Frühstücksraum. Die Tapeten lösen sich bereits von der Wand. Der Lärmpegel des Straßenverkehrs ist bisweilen etwas lästig. Zudem befindet sich in nächster Nähe zum Hotel eine Feuerwache und unvermittelt kan

The bathroom was not super clean. The beds were extremely firm and not very comfortable. The staff was very nice. The breakfast was pop tarts and muffins. It was not anything to write home about. I was surprised it was $150 for the night given those issues.

I think they need to install king size beds in their single bed rooms. They have queen beds. Next they need to put in room darkening shades they currently have inexpensive vinyl one inch mini blinds and the rooms are very bright in the morning when you are trying to get some sleep

Stay here once a week for business and the staff is great free breakfast has tons of option and the room decor is above average for the cost of the stay. Nice building. Great view of the river and location is great. Movie theatre right across the street. Quiet place nice stay everytime

We enjoyed our stay at the Clarkson Inn. It has a Victorian vibe that fits right in with the town of Potsdam. Our room was clean and comfortable. We stayed on Christmas eve and Christmas night so it was pretty quiet as most rooms were empty. The only complaint I had was there are just mini blinds and shear white curtains on the windows that let in alot of light so no sleeping in! Not really a big deal for us but it could be an issue for some people. It was a little musty smelling around the bathroom area. It appeared to be clean but definitely a musty oder as you walked into the room. There was a couple bags of chips and bottles of water on our little table which we thought was nice! I would recommend this hotel.
