This cosy 20m² private room is a great base for solo travellers or couples exploring Porto. You’ll be staying in a charming guesthouse with shared spaces, including a small communal area with utensils for making simple meals or snacks (just a heads-up — it’s not a full kitchen) and a shared terrace where you can kick back and get some fresh air. Your room comes with a comfy queen bed and a private bathroom just for you, stocked with fresh towels, toiletries, and hotel-quality linens so you can relax and recharge after a day out in the city. Just so you know: we’re on a lively street, so there might be a bit of city noise. Light sleepers might want to pack earplugs. We like to keep it real so you know exactly what to expect — while still enjoying the comfort, convenience, and warm welcome of GuestReady Essential. The guests have access to the common kitchen and the common terrace. Those are shared with other guests in our house (max another 4 people). The bedroom and the bathroom are completely private for the guests. We are GuestReady, a property manager, and we want to ensure your stay will be as smooth and comfortable as possible. We are available 24/7 should you need any assistance during your stay. Kindly note that this is a personal home so please take good care of it as if it was your own. The Bairro Costa Cabral is in the northeast of Porto and is connected with access to the main train stations and metro lines. You are a few minutes away from the Stadium Estádio do Dragão. Many places in Porto are easily accessible on foot, but if you prefer public transportation: \- There are multiple bus stops that service the area. \- The nearest train station, Marquês, is just 2 mins walk from the accommodation. Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport is 16 mins drive from the guesthouse. This is a self-check-in property, and you will need to verify your identity before you can check into the flat. There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers any evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.), we fully reserve the right to charge a €200 EUR smoking fee, at minimum. Unfortunately, the induction cooktop didn’t work. We contacted GuestReady, and the next morning, they claimed the kitchen wasn’t meant for cooking and that there shouldn’t be an induction cooktop. However, the apartment description clearly stated it was “fully equipped with essential cookware and cutlery needed to cook a delicious meal, including an induction cooker, a toaster, and an oven.” After some back-and-forth, GuestReady admitted it was an error and offered a 10% refund (€80) or to let us move out with a refund for the remaining days. We declined, as €80 wasn’t enough to cover dining out for the remaining days, let alone compensate for the inconvenience. We asked for a resolution before the end of our holiday, but they insisted on discussing compensation only after check-out. This issue not only affected us financially but also ruined our enjoyment. GuestReady claims they are available 24/7 to ensure a smooth stay, but our experience was quite the opposite. Responses were slow, and we felt ignored. The apartment was great in terms of location and cleanliness, but the communication and service were severely lacking. I bet you gave us the worst room in your house. I saw other rooms and can say for 100% that the room#1 is a terrible one. The toilet 1 meter away from the bed, behind the glass door, with no locker and huge spaces between doors and walls. Unbelievable discomfort! Among 52 published photos on booking.com there is the only one which more or less show this room catastrophic planning. I made a pee 1 meter away from sleeping person. Keeping it into account I do believe that the room is overpriced!!! Even good location can't compensate such terrible things.
