Within 5 mins drive to all the medical facilities, Peace Health, Vancouver clinic, Kaiser Permanente. 8 mins to Downtown Vancouver. 18 mins to Downtown Portland. The host was very quick in responding to any questions and concerns that we had. The photos really sell the house on VRBO. We were disappointed in the appearance of the home when we arrived. It is unkempt on the outside as well as the inside. The inside decor is nice, but not installed well. Curtain rods and towel bars fell off the wall. The patio door lock was broken and the screen in the kitchen window looked like someone had tried to pull it off from the outside. The couch /futon in the living room was broken prior to our arrival. The dining roomchairs are stained and dirty. The lock between the garage and kitchen had a large gap around the fixture. We reported these issues to the host immediately as to not be held responsible for pre existing damage. The host was responsive and offered to have someone come fix the issues. We have stayed in many VRBO properties in the past without issue. Fort Adobe lacked small comforts of home such as an extra roll of toilet paper, paper towel, or kitchen items such as tinfoil, plastic wrap, etc. This was the first time we had stayed anywhere that these things were not available. This was not a deal breaker, just mentioning. The house was a good size for our family of four. Also it was close to the Portland airport and downtown Portland. This was an amazing stay and I appreciated the atmosphere so much. All 3 bedrooms had very comfy beds, were very clean, and were easy to set up. The bathroom is comfortable, was well stocked, and the large rain showerhead was amazing. Heads up - There is a water pressure/water temperature warning if you go up too high but that wasn't a big problem for us. The kitchen is smaller and well stocked with everything you'd need to make a meal and the coffee station was also stocked with everything you could need. We had a great weekend getaway in this very cute, comfortable, and clean space. We loved that we could bring our dog and the backyard was fully fenced and great for all of us! Our teenager spent a lot of time in the comfy chair on the covered patio. The beds were comfy, the house warm on cold January days, and easy access to Portland and the Moda Center.
