There is also a communal deck with mountain and river views available for your use when the weather permits. A queen sized bed in the main bedroom sleeps two but there is also another queen sized sofa bed in another room along with all the bedding needed. A small kitchenette and a sitting room with a counter for your electronics serves as a breakfast table. Since it was my art studio there are lots of art and interior design books to peruse along with games to use. Overwhelmingly phenomenal. My personal experience was spectacular, partly because of the actual rental (the decor, the area, the elevator, The Deck!) but mostly because we got the opportunity to meet the owner herself, which is a gem of a person. You meet a lot of people traveling, but Vicki marked me profoundly. As for the actual site, we used it for 48h to visit Portland and Cannon Beach area, while on a 17 days tour of Oregon. The area is very high end, with really nice houses in the hills. It's very easy to get everywhere from there, starting with a short drive to downtown. Ken's artisan pizzeria (the best pizza ever, ever ever) is 15 min away. The upper deck on the 3rd floor is just mesmerizing, and the fact that guests can use it is awesome (please respect this!). The views.... the Views! with Mt St Helen in the background, are overwhelming for a "east coaster". We are travelers and visited many different rentals, and found this one exquisite. Off course it all depends on personal preferences, so read more reviews to see if it works for you. If you end up renting this one, say hi to "mister torso" for me! ##### Shoe C. Close drive to anything you'd like to do downtown Portland. Vicki, the host, is so helpful and welcoming. Of note, there are no doors between the two sleeping areas so if you have someone who snores, it might not be the best. I missed in the listing that it does not have a/c and we were there during 100 degree weather so it was in the upper 70's low 80's inside. Vicki did supply fans so that helped. The space has lots of windows that open but it just didn't cool down much at night to take advantage of that. We would definitely stay again, just not during a heat wave ) ##### Jennifer H. The neighborhood was beautiful and safe, and it was very conveniently located for Washington Park. 10/10 would recommend, and we plan to come again. ##### Starla B. There is a full kitchen, however we chose to go out for pizza, but did enjoy some wine on the gorgeous deck with amazing views. The location was very quiet and just up the hill from a charming Italian restaurant where we dined the night we stayed. The location has easy street parking (a bonus) and access to an amazing deck (via an elevator). Staying only one night (for a concert the next day) we didn't take advantage of the kitchen or dining area, but they are ample and well-stocked. We will definitely return to Vicki's place - great location close to downtown but in a very nice peaceful neighborhood. ##### Bartholomew E. The deck was the best part. My sons, their partners, my friend and I had a beautiful evening visiting on the deck. The view is spectacular. We had everything we needed for a nice visit. Vicki had a great recommendation for a nearby restaurant for take out food. ##### Maria H.
