The house was clean and had a well stocked kitchen. The neighborhood is full of interesting older homes. It wasn't as close to key places as I expected from the description. What would have been so nice and added a personal touch would have been a tourist map and notes about local places to eat, favorite places to visit, best routes to get downtown, etc. That personal touch from an owner is one thing I really appreciate about rental homes vs. a hotel. . ##### Jenny A. Good internet, good showers, three TVs. The West End location is very nice and convenient. Unfortunately our stay was somewhat ruined by the lack of any type of heating in the living room. Even if we blasted the wall units in the bedrooms, the living room did not heat up at all. It would be a very easy fix for the owners to install a wall heating unit in the living room. We didn’t cook while staying there, but it looked like it was well equipped. This is a downstairs unit. We could hear people walking around and talking. Parking onsite only works if you have a small vehicle. The unit is in the back and parking is tight. When we were there the other tenants had SUVs, making parking onsite impossible. After dinner the first night we had to park 5 blocks away. For the rest of our trip we took Uber to dinner. The area is nice. Walking around the neighborhood is comfortable. This is the 2nd time we stayed here and it did not disappoint. Last time we were on the 4th floor-this time the 3rd. Noise from people above was quite loud-no parties, just normal activities. Parking was the drawback. We were to have the last spot but the person next door parked their car across from that spot and it was impossible to get in or out. The car parked behind us was a Jaguar SUV which did not help. Had to find parking elsewhere which as you know is not easy. Didn't know if they were supposed to be parking there but if they are you really can't claim there is a parking spot for unit 3 especially if there is someone in unit 3. ##### Starr N. Jul 9, 2025 #### Great Home Base The condo was a short drive to the restaurants and shopping at the Old Port and central to the day trips we took to areas both south and north of Portland. The condo was a great space to come back to after our excursions and delicious dinners in Portland. ##### John N.
