Excellent walking and cycling paths, along with a boat ramp are also close at hand. The unit is tastefully furnished throughout and portrays a coastal theme. There is an open plan tiled, living/ dining area which provides air conditioning, a flat screen TV offering free Netflix & Kayo Sports, a DVD player and a comfortable, corner leather lounge. The fully equipped kitchen includes full cooking facilities, fridge/ freezer and a dishwasher. The main bedroom has a double bed and views of the bay from the window. The second bedroom has two sets of bunks which accommodate 4.The bathroom has been renovated and provides a shower, vanity and toilet. There is an external laundry which is shared between the complex guests, complete with two top loader washing machines, laundry tubs and clotheslines are available behind the laundry. Ceiling fans are located in the living area, and also in both bed rooms. The unit provides two car spaces (tandem) which are suitable for two cars or a car and a small trailer with boat/jet ski. Shoal Bay offers plenty of activities such as SUP (Stand Up Paddle Boarding), surfing, fishing and fantastic walking trails such as the popular Tomaree Mountain walk. This walk takes approx. 20-minutes to the summit where you will experience some of the most amazing panoramic views of Port Stephens and enjoy watching the marine life including whales, dolphins and schools of fish. Watching the sunrise and sunset from the summit is incredible, you will capture the most amazing photos and the scenery is memorizing. Shoal Bay Village offers a convenience store and the famous Shoal Bay Country Club which has multiple dining area, live music and entertainment for all ages. Jan 16, 2022 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Great location Great location, we loved being able to walk to the restaurants and shops and also being far enough not to hear the noise. The unit was smaller than expected and quite dated, the main bedroom linen could definitely do with an update. Would have been nice to also have a few towels, bath mat, hand towel, tea towel etc. we did otherwise take our own linen. The main drawback which would probably prevent us from going back was that without the a/c the unit was quite hot on a day that wasn’t and you could feel the humidity. We needed to keep the windows and door open to sleep which brought in noise so this impacted the quality of our stay. The laundry downstairs was handy and the kitchen was well equipped. ##### John W.
