« Oh, wow! Kinda felt like we were in a Vrbo ad… The house is a beautifully renovated old home just across from the water, and a couple hundred yards from the beach. Beds were luxurious, bookcases of interesting books. The neighbourhood is of older, well looked after houses on a quiet cul de sac on the ocean. Couldn’t be better. »

« The property was stunning and the hosts amazing. It lacked a number of things that make life comfortable such as curtains (we were up with the sun), a place to unpack or even put a suitcase other than the floor, end tables and reading lamps, microwave etc. To be fair there was no microwave listed so it's on me that I didn't notice. « Our family of 6 stayed here for a week. We used the house as both a place to relax and as a jumping off point to do other activities in Nova Scotia. We loved it here. We enjoyed numerous outings on Ponhook Lake in the canoes, kayaks and stand up paddleboard provided by the owner. The house is beautiful, clean and very well kept up. The location is stunning, with the beautiful Ponhook lake in a wilderness setting with endless opportunities for exploration. A perfect place to stay if you want to...

« Very warm welcome. Wonderful site, with a great view on the lake. Huge terrace, well appointed: sunbeds, BBQ, table for the meal, and veranda to protect us from the bad weather and mosquitoes. Well-equipped kitchen. The only drawback: the last part of the unpaved access road to the house, very damaged and difficult for a berline. »

« We recently had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful property for 2 weeks in late April 2024. Our goal was to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet. The weather was fantastic, don't be afraid to visit in April, the days were sunny and cool, and when it rained the house was a sanctuary, with a wood stove and 360 degree windows to enjoy the view of the ocean, sunset and sunrise unobstructed by other properties. « Maison grande, très très proche, avec beaucoup de charme, sur une rue en cul de sac très calme. Vue sur la mer, 1 minute de marche d’une toute petite plage très tranquille. Super kiosque de vente de fruits de mer à l’entrée de l’ile, 2 minute en auto, 5 en vélo. Les moules sont cultivées dans la baie littéralement devant la maison. 5 minutes de Lunenburg. Difficile de trouver mieux pour explorer cette partie de la cote Néo-Ecossaise. »
