"The place is great overall! It's quiet and within walking distance to the main street with all the restaurants and shops (15 mins max). The four mile beach is less than a 10-min walk which is nice. The marina where all the GBR boats leave from is about a 15-min walk which is again not bad. The room is clean and tidy and the kitchen is a nice addition. The pool was always empty when I stayed here. I'm usually picky with hotel bathrooms because it's very easy for mould to grow at the corners around the showers and bath tub but nope it was all white and clean. You'd have to pay for the safe though, I'm not from Australia so not sure how common this is. No complaints overall!"

"We stayed for one night weren’t offered a upgrade The iron in the room had been dropped and the bottom was cracked so couldn’t put water to steam iron my linen cloths The shutters had come off it’s runners and couldn’t close for privacy"

"I stayed for four nights with my three year old and mum (visiting from the UK) and we had the best time. The apartment was clean, and we loved the swimming pool and convenience to the beach, and everywhere in Port Douglas. The staff were so helpful and friendly and full of many recommendations. We would definitely go back, and recommend. "

"On the spur of the moment we booked our stay and were so happy with our choice. The Villa S M is located in the heart of Port Douglas with easy access to shops, dining etc. Staff were friendly and happy to answer our questions. Parking was located underneath building. There are 2 pools, but one was having paving work done. Room was clean & spacious and perfect for our short stay. "
