#### For swimming, boating and enjoying views of the Adriatic Sea, this marina and surrounding area have plenty of options to enjoy a fun day on Rimini’s coastline.

Rimini Marina (Marina di Rimini) is a gateway to fun and adventure for all ages on the shores of the glistening Adriatic Riviera. Charter a boat for a scenic cruise and join a guided scuba diving trip. Relax on the soft sands of the beach at Rimini Marina and dine on traditional Italian cuisine. Admire panoramic views of the city and its beaches while riding a Ferris wheel.

Fishing trawlers, sailboats and luxury private yachts all moor at the marina. Stroll along the quays, admire the variety of boats and watch them arrive and depart. Boat rentals are available with or without a captain, allowing you to spend a day or overnight excursion cruising the glorious coastline. If you want to learn the art of sailing join the marina’s sailing school. Get a close-up view of life below the Adriatic Sea on a scuba diving tour.

For non-stop relaxation, join the locals on the sands of the Lido San Giuliano. Bring a towel and set up your beach camp for the day close to the seashore or pay a fee to rent a sun umbrella and lounger. Chiringuiti (beach bars) serve fresh seafood and tapas and have DJs that create a party atmosphere.

Take a short ferry journey from the marina across the canal to Rimini Lighthouse. First built in the 1700s, it was refurbished after suffering bomb damage in World War II. For a fun activity near here ride the 180-foot-tall (55-meter) Rimini Ferris Wheel (La Ruota Panoramica). It provides uninterrupted views of Spiaggia Libera beach, the rooftops of Rimini’s Old Town and the resorts of Cattolica and Gabicce Mare.

Located in the San Giuliano di Mare district, Rimini Marina is a 30-minute walk from Rimini’s Old Town. Use the car park or RV park between the marina and beach. San Giuliano di Mare has a varied collection of boutiques, bars, restaurants and hotels.

I had high hopes after reading so many glowing reviews, but in all honesty, I was quite disappointed with my stay. The pool area is very small and the pool itself is plastic, which felt underwhelming. Breakfast was not buffet-style (which I had looked forward to), but served to your table. Unfortunately, every time I ordered scrambled eggs, I was given bacon—I'm vegetarian, so this was particularly frustrating. While some of the food was nice, it wasn’t outstanding as other reviews suggested. Toast was often burnt and dishes lacked flavour. Service was polite and staff were friendly, but there was a clear language barrier with several staff members, which made communication difficult. Clearing tables also took far too long—not something you'd expect from a 5-star establishment. The rooms were definitely the highlight—modern, clean, and comfortable. However, the reception area looked tired, with white decor that clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while. What really surprised me was that access to the spa facilities (like the steam room and sauna) required an extra fee, despite paying €500 a night. I’ve stayed at many 5-star hotels and have never been charged separately for basic spa access. The hotel entrance also lacks impact, looking more like a 4-star property. Overall, while the stay was pleasant in parts, it does not live up to 5-star standards. It feels more like a 4-star hotel with 5-star pricing.
