Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!' This charming classic, newly renovated in 2011, looks like a Port Clyde Village cottage on the outside, but Lone Maple is high-end on the inside. The result is a perfect blend of timeless Maine architecture and modern necessities. The cottage is perfectly suited for two people — on the second floor find a half bath and a bedroom. The bedroom has an ample closet and is situated at the peak of the cottage. Three skylights (outfitted with electronic shades) and a large double-hung window let in the sun, the stars, and a fabulous breeze off the water. The half bath has a skylight as well (also with an electronic shade). Downstairs, at the front of the cottage, you'll find a comfortable living room and the dining area, complete with four chairs. The living room includes a couch, chair, and a wall-mounted flatscreen television with cable. The cottage is also outfitted with a wireless Internet connection. The kitchen is the crowning glory of the house, aside from the location and view, and is truly gourmet. You will be stunned at the caliber of kitchen found tucked inside this cottage, including a full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, double wall oven, and an induction cook-top. Chantal cookware is also provided — this is a kitchen worthy of a top chef. (And those who like to pretend they are!) Outside, find a small deck off the kitchen and a basic gas grill. There are two Adirondack chairs at the front of the cottage, overlooking the water. The neighborhood is friendly, the location ideal, and the accommodations comfortable. Located in a small cluster of houses atop a hill overlooking Port Clyde Harbor, Lone Maple is just a 10-minute walk into the village. Things to Know Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. Please note that this home is not ideal for guests with mobility issues, due to the steep stairs and the requirement to cross the lawn to gain entry. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. However, the owner did not provide the wifi password as the description states. The shower is located in the living room, where you eat and there is a tiny bathroom upstairs. The furniture was very uncomfortable and not what we expected. Upon entering the home, the smoke alarm went off and it took forever to find as it was hidden underneath a cabinit. There is no outdoor living space aside from 2 broken adorondack chairs, but no umbrella or shade. This confined us to indoors which again, were limited. It was unusually hot in Maine this week so the windows and sky lights were a welcomed relief. Because there was no wifi or cell service, the one land line also was not working. Under the small t.v is a dangerous looking mess of wires and ports in one overloaded outlet. We are not new to Port Clyde so we know the house is in a great spot but falls way short as far as accomidations. Definitely do not bring children and its more suited for 1 than even an active couple like us. Overall, the owner could put a little more effort in to the living and outdoor spaces to make things more comfortable. The neighbors are wonderful and welcoming which was also a positive but not enough to make us stay at this particular house again. ##### Heather M. Easy access to everything in the Port Clyde area. Stairs to loft (bedroom) are closer to a ladder (shallow step depth and significant degree of incline) so would be appropriate for fit individuals without knee or hip problems.
