Welcome to The Lake Erie Hutch, your home away from home! If you are searching for the perfect beach vacation spot, your search is over. Located in the heart of Port Clinton and the Lake Erie Islands, this Cape Cod style cottage encompasses everything you would expect in a lakeview home. You will be very close to the Jet Express to enjoy a day of Island hopping and fun! Less than 2 minutes from the ferry as well as downtown Port Clinton for live weekend music and festivals throughout the summer. Entering the home, you are greeted with a large open floor plan, with tall ceilings, premium furnishings and bright airy windows offering lake views. There is a spacious well-equipped Kitchen and dining room seating for 4\. Off to one side of the Dining Room are Bedrooms 1 and 2 with Queen sized beds. The upstairs Cape Cod style room is where bedroom 3 is located, with a double sized bed and two twin sized beds that can be joined to make a large king sized bed. You can also use the upstairs bedroom as an all kids room. From the Sunroom you can get a great view of the park and lake. 4 doors down from the public beach access in Port Clinton with everyone’s beach side enjoyment. The sandy bottom and gradual sloping water depth allow for some of the best swimming in the area. Cedar Point is about 19 miles away making this location great for a day at the park. This house is the perfect place to sit under the stars with a cocktail while catching glimpses of shooting stars. This house can also be rented with the house next door to sleep up to 16 total guests for a total of 6 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. Please send an inquiry about booking both homes together. The house itself is beautiful. Very clean. Good communication.It was rather expensive and therefore disappointing that we struggle to keep the house cool enough. There were settings on the thermostat that did not allow you to run it for more than a half an hour before it shut off for a couple of hours and locked you out and wouldn’t let you turn it on again. The bed in the back of the house was like a catchers and very uncomfortable for those guests. The checkout process was very tedious and overwhelming, and I think too much given that the house was quite expensive and the fees should cover much of what is requested. The house was lovely. It’s quite well suited to two families sharing it with the effectively divided living spaces. The proximity of the park and the beach was fantastic for our kindergarten age children and our dog. One parent could slip over to the park as though it was the front yard of the house and play with the kids at any time to keep them occupied when they were becoming restless. There was a fun playground right outside the front door. The house was very clean and roomy. The beach is a short walking distance away. The week we were there it was not open for swimming, but I understand it is usually fine. Other beaches were within a short drive. We liked the patio with the fire pit.
