A short walk to fantastic restaurants, a coffee shop and neighborhood markets makes this centrally located home ideal for families, professionals or groups of friends looking to explore all the Peninsula has to offer. Queen size air mattress can be set up in the living room. This house is the upper unit on an up/down duplex with the downstairs unit being a long term rental. The house is a short walk to two excellent restaurants, 929 Woodfire Grill and Sabai Thai. Get your morning coffee or visit one of the neighborhood markets to get food, drinks and other necessities. Located a few blocks away is Shane Park where you can find a tennis court, baseball fields, a basketball court and a large playground. If you need any recommendations, see our guide or please let us know and we will be happy to help out! Well behaved Dogs are allowed with pre approval. In a nutshell, we moved around to several locations during our stay at ONP and we kept wishing that we could come back to this one! Our group was 5- my wife, me, my senior mom and ten year-old twin boys. Everyone was comfortable and had space to spread out. Plenty of counter space in the bathroom and kitchen. I cooked breakfast twice and had everything that I needed. Plenty of good quality towels & bedding which is always a bonus- some hosts only give a few towels. Unlike most places- they have towel hooks for multiple towels in the bathroom! The kids loved the hot tub. My wife LOVED the beautiful flowers that were blooming on the side of the house- she cut and had them in the house during our stay. The patio area is very relaxing- the weather was perfect for a glass of wine on the patio. All the personal touches were great- coffee bar, snacks, bottle of wine, fragrant candles. The host really makes it feel like home. Bonus: two great views- sunsets & sunrises, water & mountains. Every morning we saw bunnies and/or deer. The couch was SO COMFY and big- the kids want us to buy that couch. Kids also liked the fire place colors. There was a lot more in Port Angeles as far as food/stores than we expected, and none were more than a few minutes away from the house. The driveway had plenty of space for our giant rental SUV (which was not the case at our first rental). I contacted the property manager and she said they would adjust description as the booking only included one bathroom. I was told that breakfast was included. It was explained to me that breakfast was dry pancake mix and dry oats. First of all, the home is beautiful, very clean, and has every amenity you can think up. The couch is very comfortable for naps and lounging! The view, as promised, is breathtaking. I very highly recommend this place if you are exploring the north and eastern parts of the peninsula. We used it as our home base for the western parts of the park too— a lot of driving, but totally doable. Port Angeles is a really cute town. The downtown is about 40 minutes away walking, or a quick drive. Lots of cool shops and some great restaurants. We spent 3 nights here as we explored the northern part of Olympic National park. It was just a few minute drive to the entrance leading to Hurricane Ridge which was super convenient! It was also a short drive to Lake Crescent. We were close to the restaurants and coffee shops in town. The house was beautiful! Everything was super clean and well stocked. The beds were comfortable. We wanted to do something special for our 44th anniversary and this really fir the bill. The house itself is impeccably decorated and includes everything you could possibly need. It was sparkling clean, too. The views from the house are incredible; the strait and the mountains clear and ever-present. As far as location, it is perfect for exploring the Olympic peninsula. Port Angeles is a charming town and the surrounding area is full of things to do. The host is responsive and delightful to work with also.
