From the Beachcomber Cottage you can take short walk down to the beach, view the Canadian Cascades and relax or bring your boat for some of the best fishing and crabbing in the Pacific NW. You will never forget this place! Make it a family tradition! The quaint Beachcomber Cottage is a real gem! You will love the rustic decorations and the view is just unbeatable. Private access, your own outdoor fire pit and picnic table to enjoy. Features a bedroom with a full-size bed. An upstairs loft room with a queen size bed. There is couch bed with a queen size memory foam mattress in the living room.. The couch and 2 swivel chairs in the living area and a dining table. The propane stove in the living area makes for a cozy warm setting throughout the whole place. A full kitchen with cookware, utensils, coffee pot, refrigerator stove and microwave. \*This is not a pet friendly cabin Located just 25 minutes outside Port Angeles, our guests can enjoy the serenity and beauty of the Olympic Peninsula with easy access to town and some of the best hiking, hunting, fishing and exploring you will ever find. There is so much to do in and around the Olympic National Forest, so take your time and enjoy your stay! Nearby Olympic National Park entrances like the Sol Duc, Hurricane Ridge, Hoh Rain Forest, Cape Flattery make this location an excellent "base camp" from which you can explore the Olympic Peninsula and towns like Forks, Neah Bay and beaches like Shi Shi Beach and Hobuck Beach. Explore the parks, walk the rivers (Dungeness, Elwha and many more), kayak on Lake Crescent or drop right in the Strait from our private boat ramp. During the Winter and Fall, enjoy the true nature of the Pacific Northwest: observe the high tides, storm surges and occasional dense marine fog from the comfort of your cozy cabin. You are going to love this place! Guest Access: Guests have access to the beach on this private property as well as to the boat ramp and other upland areas. The Neighborhood: Located just outside the quaint little town of Joyce, WA, Whiskey Creek Beach NW is a quiet and remote get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy all the best of what the PNW has to offer. Within 3 hrs of Seattle and Portland, this is a perfect getaway from the big city. We are nestled in the middle of so many beautiful spots to visit here around the Olympic parks. Only 25-30 min to the breathtaking Lake Crescent. There are numerous hikes and places to explore there. Not much further from that is the entrance to Sol Duc. Going the other direction you’ll find the Olympic Hot Springs and be close to Hurricane Ridge entrance . Cape flattery or the Hoh rainforest are not to be missed if you’re headed towards Sekui or Forks area. \* There is a great little store only 8 min from our cabins , Joyce General, that closes at 8pm. We are only 25 min from Port Angeles so if you’re looking for more options be sure to hit Safeway or Walmart off 101 before heading in for the night. \* Blackberry Cafe is a nice option for a meal out that is only 5-8 min from us. Family Kitchen and the One Twelve are two others near our place. In Port Angeles you have everything from amazing burgers at the Next Door Gastropub, tasty BBQ at Coyote Grill, yummy seafood and steak at Kokopelli Grill, Pho that’s the best at New Saigon. For quick and easy on the pocketbook, Fast Burrito with fresh tasty Mexican food . Also Sabi Thai has stellar Thai food. New Day Eatery has breakfast and lunch only, and is very good! Off the 101 on your way to Lake crescent, try out Granny’s Cafe open during the summer season. Other Things to Note: \*Most GPS software is giving incorrect directions to our location. After you get onto the dirt road, you will come to a "Y" in the road. Follow the large red signs pointing to the right, and do not go up BeachComber drive to the left. Continue to follow signs to Whiskey Creek WEST. Our office is right after you drive through the anchors. We will be ready to check you in there. \* There is a great little store only 8 min from our cabins , Joyce General, that closes at 8pm. It was definitely a sweet get away. The full sized fridge and layout of the place was very sweet. The water heater was very loud and the loft floors were quite creaky when we walked. Other wise, Rachel was very responsive when we asked for more lighting in the kitchen because the lift above was acting weird and not functioning. They said they were going to investigate it so that was great to hear. All in all it was great sweet place to stay. The loft is well furnished and spacious with a wonderful view of the straits (and a very comfy bed!). As expected, the stairs were a bit of a challenge for my husband and myself, but we managed (even in the dark). The water heater takes a bit of getting used to, but we learned to make it work. The view from the deck is awesome, but the large French doors made it so we could enjoy the view even when it was raining. In all the times I’ve rented in the PNW, this was the first time we had a gas range! The fridge was clean and big enough for all of our stuff. We went bicycling at Lake Crescent one day and it was much closer than I thought it was. I recommend going out there either walking or biking. It’s just beautiful. You will need to bring all of your own food, there was no pantry at all. We would definitely rent this place again, the Whisky Creek Campground also has a lot of cabins, tent camping and RV parking as well. Great place! ##### Margie K. It was just what I was looking for. A short walk to the beach, very nicely decorated, good beds, and more. The only negative is the stairs of death to the loft. Calling them stairs is being generous. They are more like a ladder. It was tricky to get down them at night. My kids (8 & 10) had to back down them to be safe. Which is a shame because overall the place was great. The decorations in the loft were great. (I seriously wonder how they got the bed up there.) We stayed two nights, and I would again. Also, the hot water is a little fiddly. I was easiest to set the temperature on the hot water heater itself, rather than play with the hot and cold knobs in the shower. I just set it to 100 degrees and everyone had a great shower. ##### Aaron W. The kitchen was not stocked well. There was a single knife, dirty baking sheets, no bottle opener and no bbq on site which we were counting on. The smoke alarm went off twice when trying to cook bacon and burgers because there is no cooking vent. The back deck was the best part about the place with beautiful views of the water. The memory foam beds were good too. Our stay felt like a cross between camping and staying in a house and seemed overpriced for what it is. ##### Lisa B. The cottage itself is gorgeous, and while it is in a shared location I still felt it was private enough. We enjoyed soaking up the sun on the porch, playing basketball on the court, and sitting on the swing that overlooks the water. There is wifi but I recommend not using it and using this place as an opportunity to disconnect :) I would love to come back and try one of the cabins right on the coast! ##### Maya C.
