Waimea Plantation Cottages, a Coast Resort

"We loved it here!!! We would live here if we could. It’s an amazing and special place. We loved the vibe so much. It is a very peaceful and beautiful place. The cottages are so charming, being from the original plantation, with hardwood floors and metals roofs. The main building, where registration and the restaurant was, is also an old building and very charming. The modern kitchen in the cottage was great. It had everything we needed. We cooked meals twice a day. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was huge with a shower and a separate tub. There was air conditioning. The landscaping was so beautiful, with the old trees, the flowers and the grass. The pool was lovely. We were in it almost everyday. The black sand beach, even though not swimable, was wonderful to walk every evening, especially at sunset. We would also sit at the beach edge, in lounge chairs, and watch the sunset. Each cottage has their own lanai with table and chairs. We would sit on our lanai every day, listening to the birds and the waves. There are no chickens here so no roosters crowing 24/7 which was lovely. Each cottage has its own parking spots. All the staff very friendly. They responded very quickly with a maintenance question. If you want to get away from the huge crowds of the bigger resorts and enjoy the peace and quiet of an old plantation, this is it. There is no other place on Kauai like this place. We would stay again in a heartbeat."

"Absolutely Phenomenal resort! I was there celebrating my 50th birthday and they went above and beyond making my trip special! I even saw dolphins from our hotel room with an epic view of the ocean. I could not have asked for a better gift! We used the adults only pool, ate a couple of meals at the small restaurant on site, walked to the beach (so close), rented snorkel gear. We didn’t get a chance to use the transportation they offered to go to local spots, because we had our own car, but loved that they had that. Free parking too, that was wonderful! Tori was very sweet, helpful with great communication. Making my stay just perfect. I didn’t get a chance to get a spa treatment but I’m sure that would have been heavenly too Very grateful and will highly recommend Koloa Landing Resort!"

"Exceptional property! Spared no expense with respect to design and quality of materials. The inclusions/amenities in the home made our stay easy, comfortable and memorable. Layout perfect for multi-gen and/or sharing with couples/families. Everyone had their own very well-appointed space and common spaces are well-designed for lounging and gathering together. Outdoor living is fantastic with built-in grill with prep space, infinity pool, hot tub and plenty of comfy seating options. Great elevated views of the adjacent golf course, other homes and even a view of the ocean. Simply fantastic!The host is second to none. Excellent communication from start to finish. You will want for nothing and if you need something, they will be there to help. Great staff all around. We would stay again in a heartbeat!"

"Gorgeous view of the bay and golf course with the sound of the crashing waves! Kitchen well stocked and the location was nice. Sunrise from one side of the house and could see the sunset from the beach a few steps away. Traditional Hawaiian house with gorgeous palm trees which we loved plus having AC on the first floor living area and downstairs bedrooms was a plus. Also extra fans available if needed. Nice washer and dryer. Need to bring your own detergent. Beach chairs, cooler and umbrella a nice plus. Also Enjoyed having a table and chairs under the covered patio. Only concern: Would recommend putting a blackout blind in the windows of the first floor bedrooms as they are sheer and the house next door left the flood lights on all night. Also a light shines very bright at the harbor. Enjoyed our stay!"
