The air conditioning units worked well which was much appreciated considering how hot it was when we visited Pompeii. It’s reached down a slightly random track away from the road but don’t let that put you off! The staff were very friendly and the rooms are very spacious. They have fridges but no other amenities. Pool looks great but we ran out of time to use jt. The rooms are well equipped with private bath, kitchenette, and wardrobe. The rooms are bright and airy. Our room had a corner balcony that had views of the church and Mt Vesuvius. We were able to easily walk to the archaeological park; there are restaurants, bars, shops, and the church square on the way. Most of the shops aren’t fancy but you could get anything you could possibly need, from a bottle of wine to sunblock to paint brushes. My favorite part of the hotel is the garden. We loved the pool - not deep but very enjoyable and refreshing, with lounge chairs and hammocks around the garden. It felt like a secret, tucked-away garden. You have to walk down a little street that feels like an alley to get to the hotel, but we liked that because it felt close to but also separate from the bustling town. The property owner, the property management, and personnel are very helpful, caring, and communicate well and promptly in person and/or through a WhatsApp, as necessary and appropriate.
