"The accommodation was quiet, private, nice and comfortable. The second bedroom was not air conditioned but we only needed the one air conditioned bedroom. The eating area was outside and covered which was okay, because there was always a breeze. Probably a little bit cramped for a family of more than three. Check-in was a breeze and the host was very accommodating with questions."

We loved it so much all the nature all the beautiful things to see just being off the grid felt so peaceful and relaxing. Definitely will stay here again. Thank you so much to Dawn! "Tatiana goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is great! There is no internet currently and only a communal television and kitchen. Although a no frills accommodation, Cabañas Makupuna makes up for it in quiet, peace, and tranquility. I most definitely would stay here again!!!!! "

"Windows broke out, raining and cold no heat. Dust and spider webs on the tables. Messaged owner due to the conditions not to mention the junk yard around it. Woke up eith a sore throat and had to pay for a diffrent place the rest of the trip"

"The room was in poor condition - the light was flickering, the showerhead was dripping, and there was a noticeable mold smell. The balcony was also missing a chair. Room service was supposed to be every other day, but it was still missed. Service overall was very poor. There are only two pools, neither temperature controlled, so the water is cold. There is very little to do at the resort. Overall, the property appears to be struggling."

"I regret not getting ocean view. They put me on the 3rd floor and the view was a big tree in the way to at least view a bit of the ocean. Oh well, it’s not the trees fault lol. The hotel is clean and the pool is excellent. The bathroom in my room was a bit small. The bathrooms do not have ventilation so that’s not good. The public restroom near the lobby needs attention. I went there twice on different days and there wasn’t toilet seat covers. Boooo!! Other than that we enjoyed our stay and we already miss Hawaii!! Thank you for our stay. "
