Domaine de style victorien qui nous fait bien sentir dans la Hunter Valley. Propre, vieillot, immense. Beaux jardins. Superbe déjeuner. Bien situé. Stationnement facile. Wifi correct. Piscine et gym pratiques.

Landmark hotel with great views
Our room was spacious and very clean. Location is great in the Hunter Valley and the hotel is not too commercial. We would go back any time!

We had a bad stay because the hotel room was stinky and not clean. We can see dust and hair on floor. Beddings were quite smelly and dusty making us unable to sleep at night, instead we cough and sneeze throughout the night. Bathroom is too small and water leaks from glass door onto the toilet floor. The hotel needs a deep clean. Positive compliments are that front desk staff was friendly and helpful; morning breakfast is amazing.

This is a classy joint to spend a long weekend in the Hunter Valley. Stayed multiple times and will be back. I'd stay even more if they allowed slight bigger pooches. My pup is over the 20 kg limit. :(

Hunter Valley weekend
This is a first class hotel. From the minute we checked in we had a superb stay. The bedroom was comfortable and spacious, dinner in the restaurant was fantastic and the bar was a great place to have drinks. We also had pizza there which was delicious. Breakfast was good quality and value for money. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The landscape is stunning providing fabulous views. Highly recommend you stay here.

Amazing little haven for a weekend getaway. Fantastic common spaces/facilities to enjoy and very friendly staff. From fire pits at night to pizza, animals, swimming, games and tennis the family had a wonderful time . Will be back. Room was great only niggly thing was the very small 80s shower !

Everything about our stay was perfect! Staff were wonderful, facilities were amazing and the rooms were luxurious. The pool table and bar area was spacious and they had 2 outdoor fire pits with seating to take in the spectacular views!

Pleasant stay but underwhelmed for the price.
The staff were friendly.The setting was lovely and great to see ecofriendly toiletries and bin. I was disappointed that our room was not ready at 3pm as I had driven 6 hours. We found a spoon on the floor of the room but the room was generally tidy. I also had to pay over $40 more than what hotels.com quoted. The facilities were good. The water pipes could cause concern if guests take an early or late shower. We were woken up by clunking pipes when someone upstairs had a shower. The breakfast was a great spread but the dinner we had from the Epoch was pricey and disappointing. There must be an abundance of baby spinach and a shortage of cauliflower.

Kirkwood combines luxury with country charm. It’s always the little things, so here’s a list - gift on welcome, immaculate room, luxurious furnishings, temperature control, excellent water pressure, stunning panoramic views. Breakfast was divine, with a delightful buffet that included fresh squeezed juice and a variety of fresh produce and goods. We can’t wait to come back.
