"My husband and I had a great time on our extended weekend stay here. The house was clean and well equipped, with lots of useful information in the manual/welcome book. It was nice to be on the river and see and hear the birds. It was also great to be a short drive from different parks and trails. We appreciated Sue’s quick response when we asked her a question the first morning. It was a very nice stay."

"We had a wonderful long weekend at Joanne's place. She was very responsive and accommodating. The house is lovely and spacious and very homely. The huge deck right on the river makes it perfect for relaxing, swimming and fishing and the hot tub tops it off! Would definitely stay here again and hopefully spot some bears across the river next time."

"We enjoyed our stay very much, the environment was gorgeous views all around. And also use of canoes and board were much appreciated. Only thing to know ahead if you like to hike is that the only way to get on hiking trails is through entering the provincial parks. It’s unsure why that is. Never heard of this. Even a local hiker informed me of trails maps and re that fact. Just a heads up the information centre around French river may be permanently closed so it’s useful to search details of hiking trails ahead of time. Aside from that tip for hiking if that’s your jam, it’s truly a Well built gorgeous place !"

"Ads are not always as they say. This cottage surpassed out expectations. Every thing up to the smallest item like a cork screw, steamer, take home bags, all utensils, a great coffee maker and a big fridge and a small fridge were provided. Lots of room. Beds were awesome. Lots of towels. The water was magnificent. No lack of chairs on the dock or by the fire pit. There were 5 of use. Shower was great. Towels of good quality. Kitchen and eating area had so much space for enjoying meals. The TV and internet were awesome. On the one rainy day we enjoyed movies. My children were of course happy with the hi speed internet connection. Enough space between neighbours where we could have the bluetooth speaker playing our music. Big sink for washing dishes. Dishwasher as well. We did not have to use the washer and dryer but they are modern and high grade. My daughter actually asked me to ask the owners what kind of shampoo and conditioner was in the dispensers. LOL. She is fussy. The bbq worked awesome. I am a cook and it was easy. Bottom line it is not often you pay for what you get. This time from start to finish it was. Melinda answered all my question before hand and while we were there. I highly recommend this cottage as a place to stay at. In the famous words of the terminator. "i' be back."

"I loved Rosi. Wonderful hostess and great cook… breakfasts were amazing. Only problem was that it turned out to be much further than we thought from our golf course so probably won’t get back there again. I would suggest coming up with better pillows and leaving the air conditioning on at night, but of course we were there during an unexpected heat wave! Would recommend to anyone wanting a true northern Ontario experience."
