Plenty of bike and hiking trails and acces to Biokovo Mountin (1762 m),Nature Park nearby,wallking paths marked,cykling traks marked.  
Day trips avilable from town centre to Dubrovnik(130 km),Split-roman ruler Dioklecian palace ruins,Mostar unique oriental spirit,Islands Brac,Hvar,Korcula .All of these islands including Dubrovnik you can visit in a single day by fast speedboat.It startsat 9.00Am from Makarska,stops at Hvar,Korcula Mljet and Dubrovnik.That is the way to bypass the crowd in Dubrovnik for 40 € only
