Please NOTE- I now have new local condo managers that can address any issue while you are still on vacation should any issue arise! My penthouse is located in Playacar Phase I which is the PREMIER location in all of Playa del Carmen as it's in a quiet, low density gated neighborhood with private million dollar estates. It's is a 12 minute walk from our complex to 5th Avenue shops/restaurants/bars and the ferry dock. My penthouse has million-dollar views and you can throw a rock into the ocean from the balcony! This condo and complex is beachfront. You are not only renting from an owner, but a licensed travel agent! If the idea of a small beachfront resort, a short stroll (10 min) on the beach into town to try a new restaurant and having a private driver greet you at Cancun airport with an icy cold beer waiting for you appeals to you, look no further, you can stop your search! My beachfront penthouse offers ALL of this and more: 1) 24 hour security in gated community and on the resort grounds with 2-3 times the size of beachfront as other resorts and it's BOUTIQUE, just 50 units total!!! 2) Swim up pool bar with waiters serving you around the pool (you can also BYO but no glass containers) 3) Free use of kayaks, Hobie Cats, bocce ball, bikes and volleyball, etc. See Lifeguard for arranging these activities 4) Fitness center & Spa for massage and facials 5) Infinity Pool, children's pool and warm Jacuzzi 6) WiFi available in condo, throughout the resort & pool and beach- free of charge 7) Thermostat controlled AC & ceiling fans throughout the condo? 8) Fisherman's Village is a QUIET resort in a quiet gated community! No problem...cabs are only $5-$6 to town) 10) Optional all inclusive plan $98/ pp per day including unlimited alcoholic drinks, 3 meals a day and snacks. Otherwise our a la carte menu prices is similar to Chili's in the USA. 11) Our gated community does not allow "vendors" on the beach at all, so you can relax knowing you won't be hassled to buy blankets, massages, jewelry, jet skiing, etc like you will get on the beaches "in town". 11) Beach and pool-side waitress serving! No other condo complex offers this. BEDDING: King in Master, Either two twins or a SPLIT-KING in 2nd room, and Sectional sleeper sofa in the living room. 2.5 Bths Fisherman's Village in the private gated community of Playacar, right next to the town of Playa del Carmen. It's perfect for two couples with a king and a split-king in the 2nd bedroom OR a family because the split king can also be two twin beds. Fisherman's Village is a family-friendly beachfront condominium complex with just 55 units in the quiet coastal community of Playacar just a 10 minute walk to Playa del Carmen. Fisherman's Village is known to be a nice quality resort/condo complex in the entire Yucatan Peninsula for it's elegance, fine service, and resort-like amenities such as a full service restaurant, room service, swim-up pool bar, full sized pool and a children's pool, water sports, jacuzzis for the complex, air conditioned gym, Spa services such as massages and facials. This unit has travertine flooring, slab marble counter-tops, central air conditioning and ceiling fans throughout. The entire upper floor is the Master Suite with huge picture windows out to the Sea. The bottom level features 2nd bedroom, bath, kitchen, living, half bath and dining areas and a large balcony overlooking the pool, beach and ocean. At night you can stand on any of the units balconies and see the twinkling lights of Cozumel across the Caribbean. Free for all guest's use at Fisherman's Village are the bicycles (please let me know if BIKES are a huge thing for you before booking), kayaks, and Hobie cats! Don't know how to sail? We have an onsiactivitiestes director that can help you! It's a fabulous place for adults and kids alike. Playa Del Carmen is located just 50 minutes South of Cancun and offers the same powdery white sand and turquoise waters, great restaurants and shopping-- without crowds of wild Spring Break partiers and towering hotels. In fact, Playa has a building height restriction to a maximum of 3 stories! Fisherman's Village is just a 15 minute walk along quiet cobblestone roads or the beach to the town of Playa del Carmen. Also within a short walk is the 18 hole golf course, tennis courts, the local aviary, and the ferry that takes you over to Cozumel. Most guests do not rent a car during their stay except days they wish to explore other areas of the Yucatan. If you plan on lounging on the beach, shopping and eating out in Playa del Carmen, maybe taking the ferry to Cozumel one day-- you may not want a car the entire time. The house was in good working order, met the expectations from the pictures and the AC worked perfectly for an August visit with no issues. When we needed help with items Gabriel stepped in and got us everything we needed. In addition Gabriel set us up with multiple trips and was always available to answer any questions ans was integral to us having a great trip. When you book ask for Gabriel’s WhatsApp to get info before you come he is full of good info. Our family of four loved our stay -- the condo is the perfect size with 2.5 baths and 2 bedrooms (a very spacious master with a great view.) The pool area is very nice along with an extremely friendly, service-minded staff. We also received excellent, prompt communication with the property manager as well as Pamela, the owner. Just one thing that brought my rating to a 4-star in terms of the listing -- I asked at the concierge about using the paddle boards/water toys and they said they didn't have anything for the water. Not a huge deal, but we were hoping to kayak or paddleboard. Otherwise it was a nearly perfect vacation -- highly recommend this property and area! ##### Amy E. In the very hot weather we had, the walk to and from town was about at our limit, but the sights along the way were worth it. The taxi option was also easy. Gabriel enhanced our getaway. He responded quickly to a minor issue with the pump for the purified water, and he provided excellent restaurant recommendations. He also facilitated a great adventure for us! We had a great trip. The space was well appointed, clean and comfortable. The staff was absolutely fantastic and just a pleasure to be around. The view was absolutely breathtaking. We woke up every day to the sound of waves crashing and the sun rising over the ocean. The condo was impeccably clean and beautiful decorated. The host, Pamela, was incredible attentive, as well as Gabriel , the property manager, providing excellent recommendations for local restaurants and activities. We really enjoyed our stay at Pamela’s. From before we even booked she was very helpful and responsive. A very clean quiet beach is just the past very well kept pools. The property staff and condo manager were warm and accommodating. If you like the idea of having your own kitchen and living space and two separate bedrooms, this is a great alternative to a hotel room! There are steps to take to get up to your specific condo, but they are very manageable and the walk to the beach is quite short. You can take a road despite being a gated property to downtown, which is about 1 mile away so it’s quite enjoyable in the morning and there’s many places to get coffee if you want an iced latte, etc. The staff was very kind and the Caesar salad at the restaurant was delicious. There are umbrellas, but wear a lot of sunscreen because they don’t block the sun completely. That would be my only complaint. The pool is nicely sized for the size of property and the Jacuzzi‘s great. I really enjoyed the property size as you never felt overwhelmed with people. We definitely will be back and Pamela, the condo‘s owner, was fantastic with communication, tips, and advice to make everything go smoothly. This is the best VRBO experience I have had and I have rented from many. Finally, the view from the condo was incredible. ##### Christine G. The home is well-equipped and with a beautiful view, made for a relaxing getaway. The resort’s staff is also friendly and helpful. We have previously stayed in this exact condo 20 years ago for several consecutive summers. The new renovations are very nice and Pam is a great host. However, I do wish we had known ahead of time about the sargassum situation on the beach. Unfortunately, due to the heavy seaweed and cleanup efforts, beach access was restricted during our stay, which was disappointing since beach time was a big part of our plan. Not only was beach access restricted, but the odor from the seaweed was overwhelming and made it unpleasant to spend time outside near the shore. Because of the sargassum situation, we had to travel to other beaches like Puerto Morelos, Akumal and Cenotes which added unexpected transportation and entrance costs. This significantly increased the overall cost of our vacation and was disappointing, especially since we had chosen the property largely for its beach access. Fortunately, thanks to Gabriel - the property manager who was available 24/7 and a wonderful person, we were able to plan the above mentioned activities. He was knowledgeable of the area, as well as accessibility to other local beaches and provided the necessary transportation.
