Its tranquil setting with a private beach at the end of the bay from Makry Gialos, makes it feel secluded whilst still being a short walk from the harbour with its tavernas and cafes. The room we were in had a lovely view over the gardens and beach, and a balcony to enjoy the sunset from. Staff were all wonderful and we were received with warm and generous hospitality from the moment we arrived. They were especially helpful in assisting us with the Heraklion transfer. The Kima restaurant is also a lovely spot for a delicious meal while getting amazing views of the sunset across the bay. Try the Octopus! Thank you to all the Artemis staff for such an enjoyable holiday - we would love to come back." The villa offered everything we needed for a relaxing family holiday and then some!The views were truly breathtaking—rolling hills, sea glimpses, and beautiful sunsets right from the terrace. The pool was a standout feature for us. It was perfect for both younger children and adults, with a great layout and plenty of space to swim or cool off. There were also plenty of shaded areas around the pool and outdoor seating, which was ideal for escaping the midday sun without having to head inside.Inside, the air-conditioning worked flawlessly throughout the villa—powerful, quiet, and consistent. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and there was a great sense of privacy and calm throughout. We especially enjoyed the dining spaces both indoors and out—perfect for big family meals or laid-back breakfasts with a view. There are many lovely places to see in a hire car and easily fell your time up on the island. Overall, we had a fantastic stay.
