But, there was good light with a rooftop and sky view. Staff is pleasant and very helpful. The bed was comfortable and the location was very good for getting to lots of attractions. (123 reviews) The apartment was clean, organized and comfortable. The water pressure was weak in the shower. The shower space was small. The kitchen was well equipped. The location was right in the river and close to restaurants and shops. The door to the 3rd floor apartment was tricky to lock and open. The stairs seemed a bit treacherous but maybe that’s fine for Europe. The views of the river were amazing. The church was built on the site of a small medieval chapel, known as a pilgrimage site for people with eye diseases. The construction of the temple lasted from 1904 to 1959. The eclectic-style Miguel Ventura Terra project combines neo-romanticism, neo-Gothic and Byzantine architecture. It is generally accepted that the architect was inspired by the forms of the Sacre Coeur Basilica in Paris. To the foot of the church at a height of 195 meters above sea level there is a line of a funicular built in 1923.
