B3213B Located at Palm Island Resort on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast. No bridges or causeways to the island exist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting. The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island. Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests. Enjoy access to one of the 5 heated pools, plus hot tub and gas BBQ grills. Tennis courts available for play and always complimentary. Our recreation center, Coconuts, offers a variety of rentals to include golf carts, bicycles, kayaks and beach umbrellas. Since we had plane tickets and taken time off we decided not to change out plans. The unit we were given was in a word "disgusting". The tile and counter tops were painted over and peeling. Even the light switches and towel bars were painted with wall paint and were peeling. The unit was stuffed with too much furniture-most of the furniture was old and run down. The carpet was the original carpet from the 80s. The closets were filled with junk- so we couldn't hang our close. This, by far, was the worst rental I have ever seen. We booked the initial unit because we found it on VRBO and assumed that VRBO rules and standards apply---as it turned out this rental was thru the resort, VRBO was only the advertiser. VRBO should reconsider this type of arrangement since it seriously tarnished your brand. If you would like documentation I have multiple pictures I could send you. ##### Martin U. Séjour de 4 nuits en février 2022 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Stacy F. 18 juill. 2021 Points forts : Propreté #### Wonderful place but..... I absolutely love Palm Island resort. It’s only and 1 1/2 drive for us and a great little getaway hidden gem. From the friendliness of the people to Rum Bay for cocktails and meals to Coconuts to rent a Golf cart to the lovely white sand undisturbed beaches. Reminds me of old Destin in the 70’s. Everything is wonderful about this place but the condo we stayed in was a different story. What a dive! Felt like we were in the twilight zone in there. The sofa has fabric just ripped off it in spots badly, never sat on that, tv never worked in the master(remote missing for that tv), don’t even think about putting your clothes in the closet(not possible with the diss shoveled mess) toilet broken in the 2nd bedroom (just kept running so we just turned it off) and the kitchen from the wallpaper ripping off the walls it just made for a little unpleasant trip. We watched tv in the twin bedroom at night and slept in the Master. Other than that the condo was not functional. Really shouldnt rent this condo. Gives Palm Island a bad name. ##### Stacy F.
