There is still ongoing construction at Hideaway for other units, but all the amenities are available to our guests. If you have questions about the community please feel free to reach out. Our condo is located at Hideaway Bay Beach Club on Little Gasparilla Island and overlooks the Gulf of Mexico), a seven mile, white sand, bridge-less barrier island. Guests will park their vehicle in a secured lot and board the free condo ferry for a five minute ride to our island retreat. This piece of paradise provides a time for families and friends to reconnect as they enjoy the seclusion of this island getaway. The bay side provides boat slips and a dock for fishing. A heated in ground pool and community barbecue grill and smoker are also located there. The screened lanai provides a view of the gulf over the boardwalk and sea oats. And the ocean waves are just a quick walk away. This furnished condo features 'beachy' decor, comfortable luxury bedding, 2 full baths, washer and dryer, and a well furnished, full-sized kitchen with new appliances in December 2019, and new kitchen in 2025! The unit sleeps six: one king master, one queen bed, with two twin beds in the loft. Both WIFI and satellite tv are provided. The condo is equipped with a kitchen table that will seat 6, 3 big screen TVs, one in the living room, master bedroom and 2nd bedroom. Various beach toys, chairs, boogie boards, umbrella and a grill are located in the storage garage below our unit. Golf cart, paddle board and kayak are included as a courtesy for your stay!! Because there are no stores on the island, guests will need to bring in groceries. However, wonderful restaurants and activities are within a short driving distance with a quick ferry ride back over the bay to the mainland. Enjoy time exploring the island by foot or golf cart over the white sand paths. Various local landmarks include the island chapel, library, and Don Pedro Island State Park. With no roads or traffic, this very special island surrounds you with incredible nature, the way Florida used to be. Amazing shells, sand dollars, and shark teeth bring new surprises as you stroll on the beach. Enjoy morning coffee watching the huge variety of birds, dolphins and manatees swim by or relax with evening sunsets filled with glorious colors over the ocean waves. Golf Cart Info \- Our golf cart is provided to our renters as a courtesy. We will do our best to maintain a running cart. If the cart has mechanical issues during your stay, we will do our best to fix it. We will not provide any refunds for a non-working golf cart. The beach was fun and not crowded. We had it to ourselves one day. We found plenty of shells and shark teeth. The gulf cart was nice to drive and haul all our stuff back and forth from the condo and the beach. We even used the two person kayak. The condo was clean and communication with the owners was great. We've been to LGI before and chose this island specifically. The ferry is a huge bonus as well as the golf cart. John was an excellent communicator . The beds were comfortable and the pillows were the best. Every day early morning, coffee and a long walk on the beach. Then back to the condo and each day we took the ferry to shop a little and grab lunch at a new location. We celebrated my granddaughter's birthday and had planned early to pick up a cake from Sassy Tarts. The cake was exceptional. We did a little crafting, fishing, sharks tooth hunting and shell collecting. We are already trying to figure out when we can come back. The beautiful beaches and wildlife was plentiful and we even got to see some sea turtles returning to the ocean after laying their eggs! Hideaway Bay and the owners have been through a lot and each day it seemed like you could feel the progress that everyone has been working so hard for. Pack lighter than you think, sunscreen and bug spray was already in the condo waiting for us (we left what we brought for the next renters) and enjoy the tranquility of LGI. 7/7 sunny days, temps 85-90, no rain, great AC and great memories. ##### Krista F. The condo units were not marked very well and we were eaten alive by the mosquitos. I tried to call the owner and he did not respond back to me. Luckily someone answered their door to help us out.the back doors were broken and we couldn’t use the dishwasher. We love the privacy of the island and we love taking the golf cart to the beach. Our kids begged to come back after last year and we had another incredible stay. Sadly, the hurricane did a lot of damage to the island, but the hosts refunded all our money since we couldn’t stay there. This was beyond what the rental agreement would have said to do, and I am so thankful they were so kind! We love the new updated kitchen countertops. The unit is always clean and has a great view. We love having the beach so close and taking the golf cart there is a bonus! Being an isolated, car-free island, we love how empty the beaches are and it really is paradise without shoulder-to-shoulder tourists. Apr 29, 2019 #### Beautiful Beach, beautiful ocean makes a great vacation Our family of five (2 adults- 3kids 14, 11 & 8) had a nice beach getaway. Love the long stretch of beach for long morning walks and searching for shark teeth. Design elements were updated and nice in the condo, everything was working. The ferry was easy to use and the lack of cars was very nice on the island. The condo doesn't have seating for five inside or on the lani, so that was a daily issue for us. The pool was smaller than expected and really felt maxed out most afternoons. There were many other kids around and that was fun for our kids. We felt we had the island to our selves. The condo had a beautiful view of the pond and the ocean. The place had everything we needed to make us comfortable. It was great having use of the golf cart, kayaks and beach toys. The only issue we had was that we expected for the cost of the cleaning fee the condo would have been cleaner. When we arrived the dryer was full of towels, the kitchen counters were grungy and there was a lot of dust buildup. Aside from that the place was great, we would go back. ##### Michael A. We were looking for a safe place to vacation during COVID and this was it! The condo was very clean and perfect for our family of 4 (2 children- 4 and 5 yrs old). We loved having access to the golf cart that was available. We will definitely return as the beach is so close to the condo and the water was prestine. If you want to do absolutely nothing but spend time with your family and relax this is it! The only "issue" we had (which really was not an issue) was that the towels were left in the dryer by the cleaning crew. We did not realize this until halfway through our stay when we went to do laundry ourselves. We did have to search the place for extra towels to use because upon our arrival there because there were no towels out (which we found so again it wasn't a big deal). We had all the kitchen utensils, etc. that could need; however, we thought it would have been nice to be left more than one roll of paper towels and a half-roll of toilet paper in the downstairs bathroom. I didn't go upstairs so I don't know if that one was a full roll. We were told ahead of time we would be left one roll so we did bring some ourselves. We enjoyed reading the photo book about the family's experience buying and getting the condo in shape. So glad they took the time and effort that it required. We all had a very relaxing and enjoyable time and didn't mind the bit of noise from the next-door renovations. So glad we had a golf cart and the hand-cart for takiing our luggage, etc. to and from the dock. We loved the view from the porch and the beach was lovely. A perfect time of year to visit.
