No bridges or causeways to the island exist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting. The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island. Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests. Did not appreciate being the hastled by some security officer for riding our golf cart after 9pm. He was driving recklessly and scaring people by driving in front of them and telling them to stop and interegating them. This was totally not necessary. My wife and I are in our 60's and don't need that. Property was very well kept up and cleaner than in the past few years. Here's a suggestion, if you have no intention of enforcing Palm Island rules which I assume are in place to give all the guests an opportunity to enjoy their stay, remove the signs and save money by releasing the so called Security Patrol people who. Reviewer Comments: The only unpleasant issue in an otherwise perfect stay concerns my son's later arrival. Peggy and I arrived Wednesday and our two sons and granddaughter were due to arrive Friday late day. We asked what was the procedure with the Ferry since the cottage we were staying in allowed for two cars on the Island. We were told to just let the front desk know when we arrived and their name would be added to the list of guest arrivals for Friday. When we checked in, Peggy told Faith who then wrote the name down on a piece of paper to add to the Friday guest list. Faith did not follow thru and as a result the name was not on the guest list for the Ferry men. The situation became tense when the Ferry man was not going to let my son pull his car off the Ferry until he resolved this somehow or paid like $65 or so. Reviewer Comments: A Tropical Depression/Hurricane could not ruin our final stay of the year 9-1-16 to 9-6-16\. All of the Palm Island staff were fantastic and upbeat about the situation during the first 48 hours of our stay. Even offering credit for the stay towards a later trip had we decided to leave due to the weather. We stayed and were rewarded with the final 3 days of the best weather of the year. During the entire stay even through the wind and rain of the first 48 hours, all of the people who work to make Palm Island a 5 star vacation resort were right there doing it all as if it was just another day in paradise. ##### Dennis K.
