Plenty of room to relax and unwind while enjoying nature. Deer, turkey, birds and squirrels abound! I feed them all, so you will most certainly see them all during your visit. The cottage is less than 10 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh (park and ride and bus is within walking distance) and the Pittsburgh Int'l airport is only 15 minutes away. It has 1 private bedroom with private half bath, loft with daybed and trundle. One covered deck overlooks the local town of Carnegie and the 2nd covered porch is along the private road. The fireplace in the living room is sure to set the mood for a relaxing evening. Weather permitting, you can enjoy the outdoor firepit! The local park (which is also a dog park) is within walking distance. It's the perfect place to stay and feel like you are at home while you are visiting our beautiful City of Pittsburgh! \*\*\*\* In lieu of chargning a pet fee, I have a pet donation program in place at the cottage. Owner was excellent communicating with me. We loved sitting on the porch with cocktails after long days of hiking, and especially enjoyed all the birds and the one neighborhood kitty who came to visit. Bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. The driveway was the only bad thing. It's tough to get out of. The yard was big enough with a tie down for my big hound dog to enjoy sniffing around. The place was clean and there was plenty of space for everyone. We came days after a severe storm blew through Pittsburgh and unfortunately power outages everywhere. The host Laura was extremely helpful throughout our stay. Loved sitting on the covered deck with coffee in the morning and enjoying the view while our dogs roamed the yard. If you are looking for a modern, high-end place, this isn't for you. But if you are looking for a clean and comfortable place with thoughtful amenities and a surprisingly beautiful wooded setting, it's perfect. ##### Amy S. Amazed to see homes built on cliff edges. Did a lot of walking 'up/down hills'. Visited the Phipps, which is a must see.
