We loved our first trip to NC from Southern California, the village shops, taverns, SHOPPING and historic sites too. It’s so nice, we will definitely be back and will stay at The Lofty Pine. It is an older building, but do not let that fool you. When you step inside the condo is very nice and up to date. It is on the smaller side, but it is a perfect place for a golf getaway. The balcony overlooks a Pinehurst golf course, and the rocking chairs on the balcony are great for relaxing outside. The condo has everything a couple would need for a vacation, and again, the hosts could not have been better.The problem we had with the condo is the location. It is very near a major road, and on the other side of that road is a railroad track. The train came through nightly, and decided to announce its presence with multiple horns. This occurred multiple times a night, and therefore made a restful night nearly impossible. This is not the condo owner's fault, but it did impede on the vacation.
